THE INCA TRAIL

Amazing experience taking every ounce of energy and determination. The porters and support staff were inspiring. A real sense of achievement when reaching the Sun Gate and the view over Machupicchu unforgetable.

Excellent

We loved the trip but the packing list was not correct. I packed shampoo and stuff that the resorts provided which wasted room and weight in my luggage. Also there was no need for water purification tablets. We didn't need a whistle or an outlet adapter so I would take these off the list since they take up space in the luggage. A poncho is a must. Everyone we worked with was very professional and positive

Wonderful Moonstone Trek!

Our group of three selected this trek as we wished for a more challenging and less crowded hiking route. The scenery was gorgeous and we also saw many Incan sites, p,us examples of everyday life---children walking down the mountain to school, a family harvesting their potato crop, animals being moved to high pastures, etc. Aside from another group of about ten hikers (which we passed early each day and never saw the rest of the day), we were alone to enjoy the unbelievable vistas and beauty of the country! Our guides were very knowledgeable and we felt well cared for. And kudos to our cook who managed to feed us wonderfully and with great variety!

Inca Trail in Comfort

Very well organised trip.A lot harder than the impression given on the website and very challenging if fitness levels not good. Altitude sickness can be a problem and do come prepared to cope with all weathers. The food provided by the porters carrying the luggage was excellent. If you like learning about history and being active this is the holiday for you.

Experience of a Lifetime

The Inca Trail tour was the perfect organized group. We had 6 people in our group and 1 guide. It was the perfect number. Not too many, not too few. I originally picked the trip because of the itinerary; I liked that you had 2 opportunities to see Machu Picchu. That's a definite advantage. The first afternoon, when we arrived, it was cloudy and became more and more cloudy. But the 2nd day when we went back, it was a perfect blue sky day. The weather is always changing. The Trip Notes are accurate that you just have to dress in layers and be prepared to constantly remove and add layers. The hike is not easy. If anything, I might rate it a little more difficult. It's also hard to prepare for, especially if you live at sea level. The hike is a challenge for someone who exercises regularly, but our guide was very accommodating and gave us breaks as much as we needed. Still, we were always on schedule with where we needed to be. The altitude and lack of oxygen was probably the most difficult part. But it was all so worth it. And it feels great to accomplish something that you know you worked hard for.

Excellent

It was my first time travelling alone and I felt safe and secured. I wish it was longer, it went by so fast. I got to learn about the incredible city of Cusco, visit one of the wonders of the world (Machu pichu). We also got to learn not only about the places we visited but travel through all the other GAdventurers we met. Such a beautiful experience, 100% recommend.
