Reviews of our Saudi Arabia Tours for January
Feedback from guests who toured Saudi Arabia during January.
There was a lot of time wasted in Alula driving back and forth to the camp. I think 1 night at the camp would be enough and then stay closer to town. It was an hour drive each way every day. The walk to The Arch rock formation should be part of the itinerary. Someone on our trip knew about it so we all walked there. It was behind camp. Enjoyed that. Clothing was not as restrictive as I was led to believe. The abaya was not needed at the camel market. Women can also wear capri’s and short sleeve tops with no problem. Loved the trip and recommend it
Saudi Arabia is entirely different from what I expected. Everyone is friendly and there are grand sights to see everywhere Toufic was an excellent leader. He managed to take care of a great many people with conflicting goals. He was compassionate, knowledgeable, eminently able throughout. If anyone had a problem, Toufic addressed it and solved it.
For anyone wanting to visit a country that is new to tourism & undergoing significant change this is a good trip. There are a lot of kilometers travelled with some long days but the itinerary makes that clear. Many highlights on the trip at Al Ula, Medina, Thee Ain & Jeddah. The Saudi people were very welcoming & friendly and the country seemed very safe.
Toufic showed a lack of patience with passengers especially if we questioned itinerary choices. He was very knowledgeable about Saudi Arabia. Long drive to Al Bahah should be broken up with a stop at Taif or somewhere but it is well worth going to. Saudi Arabia is not quite open to tourists which may change soon but some places were still off limits and other places even Al Ula was controlled. I liked that we did a hike from our campsite in Al Ula as little to do in the town on the second day.
