I enjoyed the trip very much. The trip contained important places to visit in each city. The guides were helpful and polite. I have a few suggestions: You may want to add 1 extra day in Bulgaria as an optional or keep it for 2 days instead of one day. Also the English interpreters were always very short in description compared to the Spanish interpreters. It should be equal . Also suggest, a map of important REAS TO VISIT ON YOUR OWN to be provided each day so we are not looking for google maps and info on google to see what to visit. Hotels were excellent except for one hotel. I plan to take another trip with you but want to have some assurance that enough English speaking will be in the tour at least 10-15 and the tour guides are paying equal importance in description of our trip. Excellent coordination in picking up from airport and at all daily events. When I needed to call, I got only Spanish answers and not English and this is not helpful for an English speaking person.

The mountain walking in Bulgaria was fantastic and made so much better by an experienced guide Andrey. The climbs /walks were challenging but the experience was well worth it. Hotel accommodation was good and the travel arrangements very good.

Brilliant!

We enjoyed our week with Julian down in the Rodolpi Mountains, trekking the hills and meadows, on the lookout for the wildlife of the region. We loved it all. The landscape (sort of alpine-esque) is gentle in places and vigorous in others. Every day the walks took us to new areas and vistas. People have impressions of what Bulgaria is going to look and feel like and this week resets those expectations completely. We summoned up the energy to head to the hide a couple of times and loved it there - a real "in the moment" way to spend three hours. The hotel was welcoming and comfortable with ample delicious local specialties to fuel our efforts. Travelling in September we were surprised by how many flowers were still out, the butterflies and insects, the huge range of funghi, not to mention the very varied bird and mammal life of all sizes. There was the familiar, and the new, at every corner.

Wow what a holiday!

Wildlife, conservation, expert patient guide, mountain hiking, remote rural village community, and an intimate family run hotel were all the components that blended perfectly together to form this holiday into my ultimate relaxing get away with a dusting of excitement, anticipation, and adventure on top!

Great way to explore the region

This is a very nice trip, with no time to get bored. We visited 3 counties in 10 days from the biggest to the smallest cities in the region. It was an interesting contrast. We explored several, churches, monasteries, mosques, UNESCO sites and restaurants. This part of the world is not yet so discovered, it often felt we are the only tourists from abroad. We learn a lot about the history of the area thanks to our skilled leader and tried some local food specialties. The portions are huge there! We had a lovely group that added to the positive experience.

High Peaks of Bulgaria, August 2017

This was my first group walking holiday and I am pleased to say it exceeded my expectations. The itinerary for the trip is excellent, including a couple of peaks I knew I wanted to visit (Vihren and Musala) and several other walks I would probably not have stumbled across and which were all really enjoyable. The walk up Malyovitsa was a particular highlight, and the preceding day crossing the Rila mountains was also stunning. Overall there was a nice variety of scenery and types of walking (forests, lakes, valleys, ridges, plateaux) and a nice 'flow' to the week's itinerary as we moved from one area to the next. I enjoyed not having to think about logistics and simply enjoy the walking and the company of the group. The hotels were all very pleasant and we were very lucky with some superb weather too!
