Itinerary

If your dream trip involves jaw-dropping wildlife and untamed landscapes, the "Whales & Bears of British Columbia" tour delivers in spades. Over nine days, this small-group marine wildlife adventure takes you from Vancouver to Vancouver Island and beyond, in search of orcas, humpbacks, black bears, and more. Stroll the beaches of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, walk lush forest trails, and keep your eyes peeled for seals, elk, and beavers. With all logistics handled, the unique highlight is the unrivaled opportunity to witness British Columbia’s iconic creatures in their natural habitats—set against a backdrop of rugged coastal beauty.

day 1Adventure starts in Vancouver

The adventure begins in Vancouver on Canada's west coast. If you arrive in good time, we recommend a stroll around this cosmopolitan city to get a feel for it. Treat yourself to moreish maple cookies in Stanley Park, a 990-acre (400ha) green wonderland where you can see authentic totem poles put up in the 1920s or sit in one of the cafes and enjoy a spot of people watching.
Around 6pm, say hello to your tour leader and fellow travellers, when we gather as a group for the first time to get to know each other and learn more about the adventures ahead.
Your tour leader then ensures a big welcome by arranging a group dinner at a nearby restaurant.
