day 1 - Bozeman to Yellowstone National Park
Bozeman - Yellowstone National Park. Upon arrival in Bozeman, you will be greeted by our team and introduced to your fellow travellers and expert local guide at Bozeman Airport, Montana. From there, we shall embark on a picturesque 1.5-hour drive to the iconic Yellowstone National Park, where we will set up camp amidst its breathtaking surroundings.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the stunning Mammoth Hot Springs, situated near the park's Northern Entrance. Known for their striking terraces, these geothermal features provide a unique glimpse into Yellowstone's natural beauty.
As evening falls, join us for a bear safety talk, followed by an engaging wilderness survival training session at our campsite. With guidance from our expert guide, we’ll learn crucial skills such as fire-making, navigation, and shelter-building, all while adhering to the National Park’s Leave No Trace principles.

day 2 - Exploring Yellowstone National Park
Today, we embark on a full-day adventure in Yellowstone, America's First National Park. Our day begins with a hike to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We'll traverse a hot spring basin, pause to admire Clear Lake, and take in the spectacular views at Artist Point, where we will witness the majestic beauty of the Lower and Upper Yellowstone waterfalls.
Next, we explore the intriguing Norris Geyser Basin, the hottest and most dynamic thermal area in the park. we'll encounter a landscape teeming with geysers, hot springs, and fumaroles, including the remarkable Steamboat Geyser, the world’s tallest active geyser, capable of launching water up to 300 feet skyward.
Our journey continues to the Grand Prismatic Spring at Midway Geyser Basin, the largest hot spring in the United States. Its vivid colours—from deep blue to vibrant reds are a stunning natural display created by microbial life, making it a photographer’s paradise.
We will then make a stop at the iconic Old Faithful. Renowned for its regular eruptions, this geyser shoots boiling water up to 185 feet approximately every 90 minutes. You can enjoy the spectacle from the viewing area or opt for a short hike to nearby observation points for a unique perspective.

This morning, we will join a local wolf tracker expert to observe and study wolves in their natural habitat. Although only around 100 grey wolves reside within the park, they significantly influence the ecosystem as both a keystone species and apex predator. Our guide will lead us to potential pack locations, where we may identify tracks. We'll maintain a safe distance as we watch them. After this fascinating encounter, we’ll return to the campground for breakfast.
Once refreshed, we'll set off to a nearby ranch for a meaningful activity. By participating in a litter clean-up, we contribute to the preservation of this crucial area, ensuring it continues to inform and move others to respect our environmental resources.

day 4 - Yellowstone to Grand Teton National Park
Yellowstone National Park - Grand Teton National Park. We depart early this morning to increase our chances of seeing wildlife as we drive south to Yellowstone Lake and Hayden Valley. Yellowstone Lake, the largest high-elevation lake in North America, supports several vital aquatic species. Here, we'll learn about the significant human and natural impacts on the lake over time. In nearby Hayden Valley, a sub-alpine region of Yellowstone, we may spot American bison. These animals, once near extinction, have thrived thanks to conservation efforts by the park and American Indian tribes.
As we continue our journey south, you'll have the opportunity to photograph the Grand Teton range, which will be our destination tomorrow. Upon settling into our campsite and enjoying dinner, we'll embark on an early evening excursion to try to spot moose, one of the park's most impressive mammals. Our guide will share insights into the moose's significance to tribes such as the Shoshone and Nez Perce, who historically hunted in this area. We'll then retire for the night, ready for an exciting day of hiking ahead.

day 5 - Trails of Grand Teton National Park
After breakfast, the guide will suggest a choice of scenic trails suited to different interests and fitness levels. You will have the choice of exploring the trails at your own pace, with plenty of time to take in the fresh alpine air and dramatic scenery.
Grand Teton National Park may only make up a fraction of Yellowstone’s size, yet it boasts some of North America’s most dramatic peaks, with eight rising above 12,000 feet. Shaped over billions of years by glaciers and earthquakes, the jagged Teton Range is a striking backdrop for a day of exploration.

We begin the day with an early entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park, arriving in time to see the sun illuminate its rugged peaks. Our first stop is Bear Lake, a scenic spot where the still water reflects the surrounding mountains and forests. We take a gentle walk around the lake, enjoying the fresh morning air and plenty of photo opportunities.
From here, we set out on the Nymph Lake Trail towards the Haiyaha Lakes. The path winds through pine and aspen, with a short stop at Nymph Lake, where water lilies float across the surface. We continue past Dream Lake, known for its clear waters and striking views, before reaching the colourful Haiyaha Lakes—shimmering in shades of turquoise and emerald, framed by dramatic boulders and cliffs.
After time to enjoy this highlight, we retrace our steps to Bear Lake, noticing new perspectives as the light changes throughout the afternoon. We end the day watching the sunset over the mountains, as the sky shifts to orange, pink, and purple. As night falls and the stars begin to appear, we make our way back, carrying vivid memories of an unforgettable day.

Here, we'll embark on a scenic hike of 4.8 km on the Morrison Loop, offering stunning views of distinctive red sandstone formations. As we navigate this trail, we'll enjoy spectacular vistas, vibrant wildflowers, and opportunities to spot local wildlife, so do bring a camera for these picture-perfect moments.
