day 2 - Beijing: Great Wall (Mutianyu section) & Temple of Heaven

No Beijing tour is complete without a visit to the Great Wall. Head for the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Take the cable car to the top of the wall and marvel at the stunning landscape all around.

Your next destination on today's itinerary is the Temple of Heaven, where Ming and Qing emperors paid homage to their gods. We will drive you back to your hotel after the tour is over.

day 3 - Beijing: City sightseeing tour

Take a short stroll on Tiananmen Square in the morning. Continue to the magnificent Forbidden City, the world's largest palace complex with 9,999 rooms spread across 72 hectares and surrounded by a six-meter-deep moat and ten-meter-high walls.

Learn more about the life of ancient emperors and hear the stories of their concubines from your professional tour guide. We will drive past the Bird’s Nest on our way to the Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in China that is renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture.

day 4 - Beijing hutong tour and transfer to Xian by bullet train

Take a rickshaw through the hutongs of Beijing, a collection of old houses flanking narrow streets. Then transfer to the train station and take the train to Xian. Meet your tour guide upon deboarding the train in Xian.

Head for the Muslim Quarter of Xian first and see exotic shops selling snacks and souvenirs. You can enjoy optional Chinese folk art at Gao's Courtyard if you want to.

day 5 - Visit Terracotta Warriors of Xian

Head out to see the Terracotta Warriors, over 8,000 painted, life-sized warriors and horses in battle rank formations that guard the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 - 210 BC), the first emperor of unified China.

Then explore the 14-kilometre-long City Wall of Xi'an by foot (you can also rent a bike if you want to). This wall is the most well-preserved ancient military defensive systems in existence in the world today.

You have the option to watch a Tang Dynasty performance in the evening. Stay overnight in Xian.

day 6 - Xi’an sightseeing tour and transfer to Shanghai by flight

See the landmark of Xian, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. Afterward, visit the Archaeological Museum of Hanyangling Mausoleum, also called Jingdi’s Tomb. This is the burial site of Emperor Jingdi and his wife as well as the only underground museum in China.

Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Our driver in Shanghai will be waiting at the airport with your nameplate and will drive you to your hotel on arrival.

day 7 - Shanghai highlights tour

Your private, guided tour of Shanghai starts in the morning with a visit to Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street. You also have the option to experience a traditional tea ceremony before heading for French Concession, the perfect place to enjoy beautiful European architecture in China.

Hop on to the Bund, the waterfront lined with tall buildings. Lastly you'll pass by the Lujiazui financial area, where nearly 100 skyscrapers have been built within the past decade!

day 8 - Shanghai: Zhujiajiao Water Town

Visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple, a 19th-century structure built during the Qing Dynasty and see the two elegant jade Buddha statues. Marvel at the majestic architecture of the temple and listen as your guide explains the captivating history of the construction. Then we will take you to a jade centre where you can learn the difference between jadeite and nephrite and how jade is closely linked with Chinese culture.

Continue this exotic journey to the outskirts of Shanghai, to Zhujiajiao Water Town. Explore the town on foot (you also have the option to ride a canal boat ). See stone bridges over canals and enjoy traditional architecture. We will transfer you back to your accommodation after that.

day 9 - Shanghai – Suzhou – Shanghai by private car

Meet your guide at your hotel and transfer to Suzhou. Your trip start at Tiger Hill, also known as Surging Sea Hill, an attractive place for travelers. On the top of the hill is the octagonal Tiger Hill Pagoda (also called Yunyan Pagoda) that was built more than 1,000 years ago.

Continue the journey to Lingering Garden, the most famous ancient garden in Suzhou that is also a Unesco World Heritage site. Take a stroll on its pathways and take pictures. Afterward, we will take you to a neighboring silk factory that is nearly 100 years old. Observe the process of silk reeling, weaving and silk quilt making. We will transfer you back to your hotel after the tour is over.

day 10 - Shanghai – Hangzhou – Shanghai by bullet train

We will drive you to the train station in the morning. Board the bullet train to Hangzhou. The journey takes around one hour.

Explore the Faxi Temples, with over 1000 years history, and enjoy the most beautiful tea plantation scenery you can imagine. Try the wonderful Hangzhou cuisine in a local restaurant for lunch.

See how tea is processed in Longjing tea village, followed by a boat cruise to see ten important sites along the famous West Lake. Drive back to the railway station and board the bullet train to Shanghai.

day 11 - Shanghai – Yichang by flight

You are free in the morning. Our driver will pick you up at your hotel at around 2:30 pm and drive you to the airport for your flight to Yichang, where you will arrive at around 9:30 pm. Board the local boat at Maoping wharf. You will stay in the boat tonight.

day 12 - Sail in the Yangtze River

Sail down the Yangtze in a boat. Your buffet breakfast will be served between 07:00 am - 8:00 followed by taiji exercise. There are optional excursion that you can book if you want to. Enjoy a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam and attend the captain's welcome party in the evening. Sit down for a Three Gorges theme show before going to bed.

day 13 - Sailing through Three Gorges

Sailing through the Wu Gorge in the morning. You can also book the optional boat excursion to the lesser Three Gorges if you want to (CNY 150 per person). Sail through the Qutang Gorge in the afternoon. There is an optional excursion to White Emperor City (CNY 290 per person) in the evening.

day 14 - Last day of sailing

Enjoy your final breakfast on the cruise. There is an optional excursion to Shibao village today. Visit Fengdu Ghost City in the evening and attend captain’s farewell banquet on returning. There is an entertaining performance after that.

day 15 - Chongqing arrival, half-day city sightseeing tour & departure

Your cruise trip has come to an end today. Disembark the boat after breakfast at Chongqing Chaotianmen Wharf. Take the Yangtze river cable car and enjoy the stunning scenery of the area. You can also experience a ride on the longest escalator in China.

Continue to visit Hongya Cave. There is a hot pot lunch along the way. We will then drive you back to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. In case you plan to stay in Shanghai overnight, you will have to book accommodation on your own.Our driver will meet you at the airport .
