. The trip to Scandinavia was fascinating. The highlight was saying the northern lights! was professional, friendly, and informative. The hotels were excellent, and the breakfasts were outstanding. The dinners were mostly good, with a few exceptions. We had an excellent bus driver as well!
I like the itinerary , we got to see the aurora x 2 However, the excursion prices are too expensive. I am aware there’s not enough snow to do snowmobile and snowshoeing so it’s ok. The City on the Move with Fika and walk in the Forest should have been free. I also have a problem with the dinners . For those of us who don’t want to eat reindeer and fish , there should be other options .. maybe sandwiches. The hotels are nice. I like and . They’re both excellent in what they do. I felt safe.
The trip was enjoyable for the most part. The tour director was excellent. Fellow travelers were a fun group. A couple of problems that need to be addressed: On day three the "Nature Walk" was listed as optional with those not attending "Time at Leasure". The problem was those who opted for time at leasure were left with nothing to do. It was raining, active construction was taking place & for a good bit of the time the restaurant was closed. Had we not been able to get back on the bus, we would have simply had to stand in the rain for two plus hours. If that is the situation, the "Nature Walk" should be an included feature. On day seven the optinal "Aurora Dinner": while the location was excellent for aurora watching, the dinner vendor was unorganized & ill prepared. Service was chaotic with some guests receiving their food after others at their table had finished. Upon returning to the vendor's store, the door was locked & the person with the key had GONE HOME! We waited for a good bit of time for the key holder to return, unlock the doors so we could retrieve our belongings.
