Enjoyed my trip; wish it was a little longer to get more opportunities to see the Northern Lights and further explore the beautiful cities we went to. Have done many tours with Trafalgar and for this tour, the TD is as usual, efficient and took great care of the group.

It was a once in a lifetime trip to be in the arctic, see reindeer in wild and experience outdoors adventures - and of course the experience of seeing the Northern Lights. We were lucky - the sky was clear! Make sure you prepare thought - very very cold!!!

It is a demanding tour. The extreme cold and the lack of daylight play havoc with your body (and mind). Do your research well for the clothing you need as Trafalgar do not give you any specific appropriate advice. The days are busy so consider which optional activities you want to do - maybe plan a rest. A definite lack of vegetables due to conditions/location. Lunches are hit and miss - usually bread based options, possibly at a truck stop. Pack some snacks. Take advantage of every comfort stop (toilet) opportunity. Highly recommend several days in Helsinki before tour to recover from jetlag so you can hit the ground running.
