Truly excellent trip with stunning scenery, hikes to Nanga Parbat basecamp, glaciers, fort, village life, driving & walking over suspension bridges. Landscapes too large to photograph (4 km high icewall at Nanga Parbat with massive avalanche seen). The most friendly local people all wishing to engage in conversation or join you in a photo. Suggest you google the exact weather for your trip - it varies greatly by month. But not a trip if you want mod cons & luxury - hours in open jeeps, early starts, rough roads (or no roads) at times, weather can be hot & cold in same day, take care with hygiene & food. Sajid a truly, truly excellent guide, supported by lovely jeep drivers.
Having heard great things about Northern Pakistan, I was not disappointed. The landscapes, the food, the incredibly friendly people, all resulted in a really memorable trip. Travelling through as country like this is rarely without some challenges, but our tour leader, Sajid, not only rose to each and every challenge, he dealt with them to the point we barely knew they existed, had he not been 100% transparent with us throughout the trip. Truly a consummate professional, as well as incredibly knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy.
An excellent tour if you love mountains and wild terrain. This is also an insight to how people live their daily lives away from the big cities. Marvellous would love to go back. Our tour leader Sajid was brilliant he looked after us so well.
The tour took us to some extraordinarily beautiful locations in Northern Pakistan. The mountains, the valleys, the rushing rivers were all spectacular. The locals were unfailingly welcoming and the diligence of tour leader, Sajid Ali and his team meant we had the very best time. I would highly recommend anyone with a love of 'big scenery' and unspoiled locations to give it a go, as you will not regret it. A truly unforgettable experience.
Pakistan is a beautiful country full of welcoming people. Thank you to Sajid, Jahangier and Anjad for all their efforts in making this a great tour. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Also, huge thanks also to the amazing minibus and jeep drivers who tackled the difficult roads for up to 12 hours a day. I've rated Explore 3 as they are still not making clients aware of the visa issue.
The tour was superb from beginning to end. Pakistan is a much misunderstood country but any preconceptions I had were dissolved almost instantly by the friendliness of the local people, the absolutely stunning scenery and the superb Explore team on the ground. Our Tour Leader - Sajid Ali - was outstanding, along with the rest of the team - Jahangir, Amjad and Sohail. We were supremely looked after throughout, which enhanced the already fantastic experience the itinerary offers. Having felt a little trepidation about the jeep travel, it turned out to be great fun and the drivers were excellent, with safety always the priority. The sights that we saw along the way will stay with me for a long time. If you are considering this trip, go for it!
This trip was an outstanding adventure full of variety, amazing scenery and above all an amazing team who made the trip unforgettable. Sajid Ali the tour leader went above and beyond to ensure we were all looked after and having a great time. The best tour leader I have seen who genuinely had a passion to show us his country and a wealth of knowledge to share. Jahangir, Amjad and Sohail were all amazing too ensuring everyone's needs were met as well as making us all laugh and have fun together. The food was amazing and being a vegetarian it was plentiful. The breath taking scenery just got better day by day and if you are looking at this trip then you shoukd definitely book it. I have travelled the world and this was fir sure an unforgettable, wonderful trip.
I have done more than 20 explore trip and this was the best. Astonishing scenery, lovely people, comfy accommodation. The jeep travelling was tiring but very rewarding.
