day 1Introductions and a short trek with your horses
We start the tour with an introduction about all the basics regarding the biology of horses, their natural behavior and natural horsemanship, and our base method to work and live with our horses. Then you will be introduced to your horse and will get to know its personality, check the equipment and get to know riding it in our field. This allows you to gain confidence before starting the first short trek.
The first trek will be basically to warm up with your horse and get to know some local villages and beautiful mountain views. We will ride towards the Corazon volcano, from where, on a clear day, you will see stunning views of the Cotopaxi volcano.
Around 2 pm we will be back at Hosteria PapaGayo for a delicious lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to either take a walk, rent a bike or just relax in front of our cozy fireplace. At night you will enjoy a great dinner.
