Wonderful itinerary. Guides were knowledgeable and patient. Machu Picchu Hotel was very loud with trains, parties and fumes from the trains. Galapagos was one surprise after another. The final hacienda hotel in Quito was breathtaking. By far my favorite accommodation. Great trip.

Peru - a beautiful country. Inca ruins, salt plains, an unforgetable boarding the train and Machu Picchu. Cuzco has so much to offer. Guide was fantastic amd passionate about his country Ecuador has stunning cathedrals and beautiful scenary. Galapagos islands were incredible. So much wildlife seen and lovely to see the conservation efforts for tortoises and other species. Was also amazing to see the Blue footed boobies doing their mating rituals and the frigate birds nesting. Completely unforgettable full on trip

À really great trip. Great itenery in good company and with a great guide and driver. A great m mix of local culture, hiking in great countryside with beautiful scenery among cloud forests and vulcanos followed by a 5 island hop in the Galapagos. Being land based gave us an opportunity to see more of the islands interiors as well as being able to see a lot of bird life, tortoises and iguanas. We also had 3 snorkeling trips and were fortunate to seeing penguins turtles and reef sharks. Our tour leader and guide Fabian was excellent, very knowledgeable, kind and looked after us very well. It was sad to say goodbye. The local food in Ecuador was excellent and the hotels that we stayed were confortable and usually close to local amenities In conclusion a great trip. Would do again

An Unforgettable Trip to Peru and Ecuador

What an adventure! This holiday combines two iconic destinations into one trip. It's a busy, fast-paced itinerary, full of stimulation and excitement so be prepared! In Peru, as well as enjoying Cusco, you'll visit incredible ruins nearby and in the Sacred Valley and learn so much about the Incas and how they conquered, and then retained control of, vast swathes of South America. Holger's in-depth knowledge of all things Inca helped us to piece together this information into a coherent whole so that we had a real insight into the civilisation. You'll also have the opportunity (for no additional cost) to complete the One Day Inca Trail. Machu Picchu does not disappoint and, as well as being technologically fascinating, is absolutely stunning. In the Galapagos, you'll island hop your way to San Cristobal, Floreana, Isabela, Santa Cruz, Isla Lobos, Bartolome and Las Tintoreras, seeing every kind of wildlife imaginable. The animals really are everywhere, in large numbers and just don't mind you being nearby. It's a hiking, snorkelling and photographic extravaganza (and Richard will share all his videos and photos)!

I really enjoyed listening to the local guide who explained the history of Lima, Peru, and what they are doing to prepare for its 500th anniversary. Our local guide in the Cusco area was very interesting and enjoyable also. Seeing how the colors were made for weaving at the llama and alpaca farm was very interesting also. I enjoyed touring the Incan ruins... they were a lot more interesting than I had ever expected. The many varieties of Peruvian and Ecuadorian cuisine were very tasty. The hotel staff and the staff on our ship were all very accommodating.

Awesome tour, getting to have dinner with locals on their farm and home. Excellent very organized and experienced guide and small group experience. We saw a seal nursing her young, penguins, iguanas, turtles , sea lions and birds in the Galapagos on enjoyable zodiac rides. Visited many islands.
