day 1 - Kathmandu – Pokhara (drive)
Drive to the gorgeous city of Pokhara and, upon reaching there, transfer to your hotel. You can explore the city on your own if you want to.

day 2 - Pokhara – Ghandruk (1,940 m)
A 3-hour drive will take you from Pokhara to Kimche, the starting point of your trek. Have your lunch either in Pokhara or Kimche, depending upon the time. A one-hour hike from Kimche takes you to Ghandruk, arguably the most popular Gurung village in Nepal.
Enjoy majestic views of the Himalayas from Ghandruk, where you will spend you night.

day 3 - Ghandruk – Tadapani (2,630 m)
Head for your next destination, Tadapani, after breakfast. A three-hour hike through oak and rhododendron woods will take you to your final destination of the day.

day 4 - Tadapani – Dobato (3,420 m)
Divert from the Annapurna Base Camp Trail and take the route travelled less. Trek through rhododendron forests, stumbling upon pastures and clearings en route. It takes about three hours to reach Isharu, where you'll have lunch.
Trek two and a half hours further to reach Dobato. If we can find some spare time, we will visit Muldai Viewpoint, a half-hour ascent from Dobato, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas.

day 5 - Dobato – Chistibung (3,026 m)
In case we did not visit the viewpoint in Muldai yesterday, we will head there today before breakfast. Return to your lodge in Dobato for breakfast before setting out on the trek. Reach Bayli Kharka, a pasture, after 30 minutes' walk and see the Dhaulagiri Range up close.
It takes roughly three hours to reach Chistibung, the final destination of the day, from Bayli Kharka.

day 6 - Chistibung – Khopra Ridge (3,640 m)
Today is the high point of this journey. A three hours' uphill trek will take you to Khopra Ridge. You can expect to see the Himalayan tahr (a species of wild goats found in the mountains) along the way.
The ridge is a spectacular viewpoint from where you can see almost all mountains in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Enjoy the view before heading back to your lodge.

day 7 - Khopra Ridge – Khayer Lake (4,660 m)
Prepare yourself for a gruelling trek through the hills today. The journey to Khayer Lake from Khopra takes around five hours. Take in the sight of the glistening waters of the lake with mountains for backdrop before we begin the journey down to Khopra through the same route.

day 8 - Khopra Ridge – Swanta Village (2,214 m)
Start your descend after breakfast. Travel past Chistibung and Kharka to reach Swanta, a Magar village. The total time you spend walking today is around five hours.

day 9 - Swanta – Ulleri (2,050 m)
It will be an easy day today as the trail is pretty much even. The enjoyment of walking through rhododendron forests is quite intoxicating. End your day in Ulleri.

day 10 - Ulleri – Nayapul (trek) and drive to Pokhara
This is the last day of your trek. a two-hour, downhill walk will take you to Nayapul, from where a bus will take you to Pokhara. Check into your hotel upon reaching the city and spend the day giving your tired muscles a good rest.
