Itinerary

Embark on a cycling odyssey across five countries with the "Five Countries Cycle" tour, a 10-day self-guided journey starting and ending in Maastricht. Perfect for experienced travelers and seniors seeking a moderate challenge, this unique trip combines the International Meuse Route and Vennbahn Rail Trail, weaving through The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and Germany.

Ride along the scenic Meuse River past Europe’s largest castle in Sedan, through charming villages, and alongside forts and lush fields. Transition to the Vennbahn Rail Trail, crossing rolling plateaus and prosperous farmlands, and stop in historic towns like Bouillon and Bastogne, rich in World War II history. Overnight stays in carefully chosen hotels ensure comfort and a taste of local culture.

My husband and I really enjoyed the 5 Countries Bike Trip. Hotels were well-locates and quite nice. Bike storage was hassle-free. Wayfinding (maps and GPX) were reliable.

Awesome trip, excellent accommodation, beautiful scenery on smooth bike paths along a beautiful river, and quiet back roads passing through farmlands, forests and small villages including some fascinating medieval and quaint historic villages.

Our UTracks tour was amazing. They looked after the luggage, made all the reservations, and ensured our bikes were available, fit, and were in good shape. One of the spokes on my husband’s bike broke and they replaced the bike. We barely skipped a beat. In addition, the maps both electronic and paper ensured we were never lost. We will definitely do another UTracks tour again.

This was a great trip. Highly organised, very efficient and very quick to respond to queries. The route was well-planned with a range of environments to cycle through. The hotels were clean, comfortable and friendly.

Generally, a very positive experience. Easy collection of bikes and quick response to any queries. Route was well designed with enough variety to maintain interest.
