Beginning and ending in Bordeaux, this trip leads you through St Emilion, Camiran, and the UNESCO-listed valleys of Entre-Deux-Mers. Marvel at Roman ruins, wander vine-laden landscapes, and stay in charming guesthouses and hotels. The experience is punctuated with tastings of world-famous Bordeaux wines at historic chateaux. Day 1Arrive in Bordeaux and transfer to St Emilion

Day 2St Emilion vineyards walk (2.5 or 4hrs)

Day 3Guided visit of St Emilion winery, transfer to Entre-Deux-Mers area

Day 4Garonne valley walk to Caudrot village, transfer to hotel (4hrs)

Day 5To the medieval town of Saint-Macaire (or Langon) (3hrs)

Day 6Loop walk to Ste Croix du Mont, transfer to Sauternes (2.5 or 4.5hrs)

Day 7Sauternes to Barsac exploring vineyards (4.5hrs)

Day 8Trip ends with transfer to Barsac or Langon train station

Very well organised. The transfers and connections were seamless. The accommodation was excellent, the hosts were welcoming and the meals, when included, were of high quality. Benoit, at Chateau Camperos, was outstanding. The walk was enjoyable. The app was very helpful for navigation, except on the day when a variety of walking options were available and then it was confusing. There were parts of the track that were overgrown with vegetation and this made the walk unpleasant in places.

Prefer previous trips that involve walking from one town to the next vs walking in one area and taking taxi to next. Bit too much walking on asphalt. Accommodations were fine.
