day 1 - Welcome to Iceland
Land at KeflavÃk International Airport. After you’ve picked up your bags, find your rental vehicle and head across the barren Reykjanes Peninsula to Iceland’s capital, ReykjavÃk, where you’ll spend the next few nights.
day 2 - The Golden Circle
Today after breakfast, you’ll head out to explore the wonders of the Golden Circle, Iceland’s most popular sightseeing route. First, you’ll stop at the historic Þingvellir National Park, where you can see the meeting point of two tectonic plates. From there, you’ll see geysers erupt at Geysir Geothermal Area. Finally, you’ll marvel at the beautiful Gullfoss Waterfall before heading back to ReykjavÃk for the night.
day 3 - South Iceland’s Glaciers, Waterfalls, & Black Sand Beac
Travel along the southern coastline today and stop at two equally beautiful but vastly different waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Then, continue your journey, travelling under two great glaciers, Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, until you reach the jet-black sands of Reynisfjara Beach. At the end of the day, head back to ReykjavÃk.
day 4 - Departure
Now it is time to bid farewell to Iceland after a short but eventful few days. If you have time, you can explore ReykjavÃk a little before you make the short journey across the Reykjanes Peninsula, where you’ll find KeflavÃk Airport.
