day 1 - Arrival – Nairobi
On arrival at Nairobi airport, you will be met and assisted. You then get transferred to Eka Hotel. The rest of the day on leisure and relaxation. Spend the night on bed and breakfast plan.
day 2 - Amboseli National Park
Transfer to Amboseli National Park (250 km - approximately 4 hours). After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park with the magnificent snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro in the horizon. You get to see largest herds of elephants in Kenya. Plains game, lions, cheetahs and vast herds of elephants wander freely. Night is at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 3 - Amboseli National Park
An early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge and rest of the day at leisure and relaxation with sightseeing. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive to see sunset and the cats when they are active You return to the lodge for dinner and night Amboseli Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 4 - Amboseli to Aberdares
After an early you now drive to the Aberdares Country Club. After lunch continue on to the Ark Lodge, the world renowned rustic tree lodge which is legendary to Aberdares National Park. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure and game viewing from the lodge decks as animals come to feed by the nearby watering hole. Overnight at The Ark Lodge, B, L, D.
day 5 - Aberdares to Samburu Game Reserve
Drive north across the equator to the Samburu National Reserves (190 km - approximately 4 hours). Samburu eco-system is a secluded and arid landscape dotted with lush springs and rocky river gorges. A few of the highlights of this area are the Gerenuk 'giraffe necked' antelope, the Reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra, leopards in daylight and the Samburu culture. Samburu has a healthy population of lion, leopard, and cheetah. It is also a birdwatchers paradise with hundreds of species. Lunch before a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and night at Samburu Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 6 - Samburu Game Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives in this open savannah including Shaba National Reserve which is traversed by the Ewaso Nyiro River. The river is populated by hippos and crocodiles, whilst the park is home to a host of animals including several species which are rarely seen in numbers elsewhere, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffes and long-necked gerenuks Samburu Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 7 - Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary
After breakfast, on route game viewing as you proceed to the Equator in the Laikipia Plateau and Mt. Kenya region arriving for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive at this private game ranch. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.
Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, B, L, D.
day 8 - Lake Naivasha, via Lake Nakuru National Park flamingos
Drive to Lake Nakuru (180 km - approximately 4 hours). Enjoy a game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park, sanctuary to one of the largest populations of rhinos in Kenya, plus Rothschild's giraffes, leopards and lions. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake and home to the largest number of the pink flamingos. After lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge, continue your short journey to Lake Naivasha (80 km - approximately 2 hours), where over 450 species of birds have been recorded. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, B, L, D.
day 9 - Masai Mara, the immense wildlife haven
Drive to the magnificent Masai Mara (270 km - approximately 5~6 hours), home to countless animal species including the 'big five' and a multitude of plains game. Lunch at your lodge. Relax followed by a late afternoon game drive. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 10 - Maasai Mara, the great migration of the wildebeest
Enjoy an early morning game drive with further opportunities to see the superb wildlife, followed by breakfast at the lodge, or take an early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra). A second game drive will take place in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 11 - Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning game drive with further opportunities to see the superb wildlife, followed by breakfast at the lodge, or take an early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra). A second game drive will take place in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
day 12 - From Maasai Mara to Nairobi. Depart
Return to Nairobi by road (300 km - approximately 6 hours), or optional extra fly from Maasai Mara to Nairobi at the airport or drop at the hotel to proceed with your onward travel arrangement.
