This is by far the best route for climbing Kilimanjaro. Days 3-6 go up & down to get you acclimatized before summitting on day 7. Don't do it any shorter than 8 days.

The 5 night hotel stay at Seelos in Seefeld Austria had the most perfect Alpine setting and was quite comfortable. All of the included meals were very good. The Christmas Markets were all festive and charming, Salzburg being my favorite. The optional Tyrolean evening show in Innsbruck including dinner was exceptional. It was my first taste of gluhwein and I liked it. Our guide Pedro was one of the best.

After climbing the Shira Route with Maasai Wanderings many years ago, I recently returned with my wife to trek the Machame Route so she could experience this great adventure. My whole experience from booking my trek to the actual trek its self was very professional with Maasai Wanderings. I knew I was in good hands when I my emails were responded to quickly and I was provided a list of answers to my enquires. The guides were very friendly and professional and had great English and were able to give my information on the landscape itself and also help encourage me every step of the way. I would not have made it to the top without their encouragement and singing! My tent and mattress were comfortable and the food was also great considering were climbing a mountain. Overall I would highly recommend climbing Kili with Maasai Wanderings. You can tell that the staff are happy and well looked after by the company as they are long standing team members.

Our honeymoon also took us to Queen Elizabeth NP, Kibale NP and finally Bwindi NP in southwestern Uganda. Boaz our guide for the trip from Entebbe was an amazing, sharing his extensive knowledge of flora and fauna. We spent a lot of time in the safari vehicle and I am happy that it was comfortable for the bumpy off-roads. Gorillas was really special! When I looked straight in their eyes I could not help but admit that we share common DNA. Accommodation spots were well appointed and perfect. My four-day trip to Mt Kenya was extra ordinary because of the services provided by this local travel specialist.
