This trip was absolutely amazing! It has wonderful scenery and architecture. The history of these countries make you think about humanity and the resolve of people. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the countries. The hotels were centrally located, clean and very comfortable. The extra excursions were fun! Best of all the people that were in our group were extremely friendly!

On the way to Barcelona, you will go on a guided tour to the Monastery of Poblet, located in northeastern Spain, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world. In Barcelona, tour the city and discover the iconic Ras Ramblas Street. Your tour continues with driving in the region of Provence to arrive in the charming town of Chamberry. Continue to Switzerland and enjoy beautiful lakes and mountains with snowcapped peaks on your way to Zurich. Your journey continues in Rome, the ancient Capital of Italy, and get to know about its history on a panoramic tour and in the Trastevere area. If you can, take an extra day at each end of the trip. Everyone in my group loved both Prague and Budapest! Could’ve spent a week in each city on this trip, but we saw the highlights and had a variety of experiences that made it definitely worthwhile.

I enjoyed the variety of places we visited. I especially liked having a local guide at each location to learn about the history and culture of each place. The only regret for me was that we couldn’t spend more time in Lake Bled. I liked that we were able to take the boats over to the island, but I would have also enjoyed seeing a view of the lake from a higher vantage point to be able to see the entire lake with the island in the middle. Otherwise, I was fully pleased with the itinerary of the tour.
