I wasn't sure when I signed up for this particular tour if it was the right one for me so my expectations were reasonably low. What I actually experienced was one of the best tours I have participate in. The whole experience was brilliant. However, the Okavango Delta absolutely blew me away and had such a profound effect on my outlook on life and sitting around fire under the starlit sky will live in my memory forever.
The whole journey through Botswana was truly life changing - at times so basic, but equally, so beautiful. Africa has stolen a piece of my heart and I can not wait to return to explore more with G Adventures.

Excellent experience. A trip the family will not forget. My daughter especially made a connection with Johannes in the delta preparing the meal for the group. It is these types of interactions with people from different parts of the world that I really wanted to share with my kids. This trip achieved that and so much more. Overall this was an excellent tour. The Cape Town section was great with a wide variety of sites to visit. The lunch at Penguino in Hermanus was delicious and hilarious. The Cullinan Hotel was very good and we appreciated the visit to the District Six museum - an eye opener. However, the transition to Hoedspruit was poor - we were not given our flight times, the flight was delayed for 5 hours, there was no direct communication with Trafalgar. That was redeemed at the Karongwe game reserve - great game viewing (Big 5 + cheetahs in 2 days) with skilled rangers and simple, comfortable accommodation. The food was good except, surprisingly, the meat was tough. The staff there were very courteous and friendly. The brief visit to Johannesburg was very good: the guided tours to the Old Fort Prison and new Constitutional Court and to Regina Mundi church and other sites in Soweto were really great. As former South Africans, we thought this tour gave all of us an excellent, short overview of the Cape, the Bush and Johannesburg. And we appreciated the personalized attention to detail from Trafalgar s guides.

Those three weeks were three of the best I ever had in my life. The different countries surprised me in the best way possible. The trip has so much to offer. Amazing landscapes and experiences! Camping was a sometimes difficult but a very good experience too and I really enjoyed the time without phones around the bonfire. I was blessed with the best group ever and the best possible two guides that made the trip even more worth it! I'm back home with a heart full of new memories & experiences and most importantly with a lot of good new friends all over the world. I'll never forget this trip!
