Discover the Baltics - Fall tours
4.6
A very enjoyable trip. Well organised, as usual with Exodus, well led, surprisingly hot weather (30+ degrees) and three very interesting counties. We visited several fascinating cities, and heard a lot about the dark days of soviet rule, the struggle for independence, and its eventual achievement in 1991.

A really excellent holiday that takes in some amazing countries and scenery. Everything about this holiday was great from the cities of Tallin, Riga and Vilnius to the Curonian Strait, beatiful beaches and lakes galore. The quality of the food and the accommodation was also surprisingly good.

Baltic Capital Cities - Fall tours

Well organised, and the leader was flexible to accommodate the group’s needs. He was also full of information and answered all our questions - and we had plenty!
The hotel choices were excellent, all being in central locations to explore the cities, and the driver was professional, friendly and got us to our destinations safely.

Walk Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - Fall tours
4.4
Great tour—Tauno was very knowledgeable and cared about giving a great tour. The itinerary was great—however, I’d say it was a bit too fast-paced and the days were too long. Maybe too ambitious for the amount of days. Perhaps making it an 8 or 9 day tour would be better.

Helsinki to Warsaw - Fall tours

I unfortunately had a cancelled flight and missed the first two days of the tour in Helsinki and didn't meet anyone until the morning we left for Tallinn, but after that everything went smoothly and probably exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed all of the places we visited and our tour leader Michelle and driver Gareth were top-notch.

Treasures of the Baltic by Bike Guided Cycle - Fall tours
4.6
This wonderful bike tour of the Baltic states exceeded our expectations. Our multilingual Lithuanian guide Romas was the real treasure of the trip making each journey come alive with storytelling and historical insights. He also kept a close eye on how each member of the group was travelling and enjoying the cycling. We opted for guided rather than self guided in the end as it made sense to enjoy the experience with a guide who had in-depth knowledge. The self guided and guided groups would always reunite at the mini bus meeting point to load up the bikes and drive to a new destination together. We were also lucky to have a great group of like minded active travel types from all over the world (Romania, America, Kenya, Germany) who were great company and fun to share the experience with. It was the right mix of cycling and driving for us, as we got to see the best bits of the Baltics without having to put in weeks of extra cycling kilometres to cover all three Baltic states. One of the many highlights was cycling around the beautiful Estonian Saaremaa island. We returned to adjacent Muhu island after the tour had finished and spent another 5 days there cycling and exploring ancestral roots and being ensconced by Muhu’s ancient villages and beauty.

Historic Baltic Republics - Fall tours
4.6
A very interesting trip covering the three Baltic Countries. Our tour leader Ona shared a wealth of information on all the places we visited on our 2 week trip. She was always well prepared and ensured all members had advanced knowledge of each days program. We travelled to many places in each country which had a historical interest. I felt we received excellent information which gave us a much better understanding of earlier times. I enjoyed many place but perhaps Riga was the highlight with a tremendous variety of things to do and see.

The Best of Tallinn - Fall tours
This city sightseeing trip is a combination of a bus tour and a walking tour of Tallinn. The bus part of this tour lasts 90 minutes and will take you around the famous Old Town of Tallinn where you can see the towers around the wall that surround the town, the most famous of which are Stout Margaret and Tall Herman. You will also get the chance to see the mighty walls of Toompea Castle, located on a hill, before continuing your journey to the main city full of modern architecture and amenities. Lastly, you will drive through the district in the city that is famous for its wooden architecture that Tallinn is famous for. See and learn more about the history of the baroque-style Kadriorg Palace and Park which Peter the Great of Russia presented to his wife.
Next, continue to the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, a very important place for the people of Estonia, where the Estonia Song Festival is held every five years. These festival grounds are part of the Unesco World Heritage list. Continue your journey along a coastal road and enjoy a picturesque view of the Gulf of Finland. Stop at Pirita Convent (St. Brigit's Convent) and discover the story behind the ruins of this monastery. There will also be a photo stop on the coast with the best view of the Tallinn.
The bus tour comes to an end in the Old Town of Tallinn from where you will carry out the rest of the tour by foot. The old town consists of two parts, the lower town and the upper town. The upper town, which was home to noble knights, landlords and soldiers, is where you will discover two cathedrals, the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Lutheran St Mary’s Cathedral. See the castle which hosts the Parliament of Estonia and enjoy a view of the city from one of the viewing platforms located in the upper town.
Follow Short Leg Street to lower town. Here you will see medieval merchant’s houses and learn more about why Tallinn was founded at this particular place. Travel down Long Leg Street and see St Olaf’s Church, the highest building in the world during 16th and 17th centuries. This trip comes to an end in the town hall square inside lower town. Here you can see a gothic town hall as well as the oldest functioning pharmacy in the world.
You are on your own after this trip is over. However, the guide will advise you on additional attractions, restaurants and souvenir shops located in the area. The main square of Tallinn, Liberty Square, is just 5 minutes away and the cruise harbor is just a 15-minute walk.
