This trip was an incredible introduction to South Africa! I learned so much about the culture, food, and animals in such a short time. The CEO was well organized and had a positive attitude that kept the group upbeat and consistently on-time. The accommodations were excellent and clean with friendly staff. It's a trip I'll never forget!

Contiki is an amazing company and despite the fog at the top of table mountain it was great to connect with everyone on this tour and a wonderful way to enter Africa. did a great job. Thank you guys.
No tour of Cape Town is complete without a trip to Table Mountain, the flat-topped mountain overlooking Cape Town. Join us on this guided, ten-hour tour and combine a trip to the mountain with a three-hour tour of Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisioned.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cape Town and drive you to the base of the mountain from where a quick ride up in a gondola is all you need to experience the famous landmark. What makes Table Mountain so unique is that it forms an amphitheater around the city.
If the weather is favourable, you will enjoy 360-degree views of the “Mother City”. If not, then don’t despair, as we will take you to the top of Signal Hill, which also provides spectacular views.
You have the option to enjoy your lunch at Greenmarket Square, after which we board a ferry to Robben Island. While travelling across to Robben Island, you will have fantastic views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. This island became one of the most recognisable prisons in the world due to the 18-year incarceration of Nelson Mandela in this facility.
The tour of Robben Island incudes a nostalgic stop at the cell of this world-famous leader, which has been preserved in the same condition as it was while he was staying in the facility. Learn more about the prison’s history and the plight of the prisoners from your guide, a former political prisoner with a wealth of information to share.
We will drive you back to Cape Town and drop you off at your hotel after the tour is over.
Leave Durban at 6.30am from your Hotel, Guest House or B&B and drive through the Timber and Sugar plantations and the beautiful Zulu villages which lies in the northern Zululand.
We take you to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve which lies 2.5 hours from Durban and is set in the heart of Zululand where Africa’s Big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhinoceros) roam the flourishing savannah. Established in 1895 this is the oldest park in South Africa and is 98,000 hectares.
The Game Drive takes place in our Land Rover or our Toyota Quantum fully air-condition.
At the end of the tour we drop you back to your accomodation. We look forward to giving you a great and safe game viewing experience in Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve. Game drive has no specified time as we want to see as much animals as we can.
At additional cost, you can also visit The Emdoneni Wild Cat Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre, Isimangaliso (Greater St Lucia) Wetland Park or DumaZulu Cultural Park.

Enjoy a uniquely Zulu experience with a visit to a traditional Zulu oracle, diviner and herbalist.
An inyanga or a sangoma is a traditional medicine practitioner or shaman of the Zulu people in South Africa. They can communicate with your ancestors, work with plant-based medicines and use the power of prayer for healing.
While most practice all three forms, you will find others that work solely with one or any combination of these methods. Their training varies depending on family lineage and land location. However, what they all have in common is a calling to serve their families, their communities and the Earth.
The inyanga/sangoma stay in the picturesque area of Molweni. There you will have the opportunity to consult with a local inyanga/sangoma in a traditional Zulu experience. The consultation lasts about 45 minutes with the use of traditional methods like bone-throwing to connect with ancestors and convey the information he receives.
