This was an unforgettable trip and we truly had a great time. Yangyang Li was very good in helping put the tour together. When we had a couple of hiccups during the trip, Yangyang was always very fast to act and make arrangements if something was not to our liking. Travel east by scenic train to Malang, gateway to Java’s highlands, where fertile volcanic soil support plantations of tea, coffee, and clove. From here, spend three days trekking through mountain forests of pine, acacia and casuarina, and farmland where villagers cultivate vegetables, potatoes and corn on the fertile slopes. Climb the twin volcanoes of Mount Arjuna (3,339m/10,955 ft) and Mount Welirang (3,185m/10,449 ft) on consecutive days, with nights spent camping beneath the stars.
Continue to Lawang, with it's tea filled hillsides, before your final hike up Mount Penanjaken (2,770m/9,088 ft), to take in the glorious vistas of Mount Bromo and the surrounding volcanoes at sunrise. Concluding in Denpasar, you can easily extend your time to relax in tropical Bali.

This tour hit all the right notes for us. We wanted something that showed us different parts of Thailand without being too intense or expensive. The days were full but never overwhelming. We saw big landmarks like the Grand Palace and White Temple but also had time for small experiences, like sipping coffee at a local cafe in Chiang Mai or watching the sunset from the beach in Phuket.
The flights between cities made travel easy and we were always met on time. Having a guide in each place helped us understand the history and customs better and they answered every question we had.
We’re not “tour people,” usually, but this one made things simple. It was structured but with enough flexibility. If you’re thinking about Thailand and want a little adventure without the stress of planning I’d definitely recommend this tour.
