Sri Lanka Time Tour via Aitken Spence. We met our driver and guided Sanka in Negombo for a 10 day tour of Sri Lanka. As soon as we met Sanka we knew we had made a very good decision, he was very friendly and welcoming us to continue our tour with the first events, he was prompt and very knowledgeable, and very proud of his country. Driving in Sri Lanka is crazy but Sanka was very experienced and we never felt unsafe. Safety throughout Sri Lanka is a high priority, but we never feel unsafe anywhere and encourage visitors to carry on while the tourism industry suffers. The hotels we stayed in were excellent and the staff were always friendly and very helpful. The tour is very busy with some long days, but we end with a six day break in the Maldives to recover. A truly memorable holiday with lots of laughs and banter with Sanka who made the tour so enjoyable.

Brilliant Central Highlands + Sirigiya Tour. My parents, husband and I booked a private tour with Aitken Spence to travel to Sirigiya and the Central Highlands for a 5 day 6 night trip and we couldn't be more pleased. From start to finish the whole tour was very well organized thanks to a great organizer and great driver-guide Kusum who was very helpful and approachable throughout the trip. He was also very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka and was able to answer almost every question we asked him about the country! He was also, most importantly, a very safe driver who was highly skilled at driving (a useful skill when navigating the narrow roads of the central highlands). Aitken Spence also booked us in on some of the most amazing hotels we've ever stayed at. The lake views and amazing room upgrade at Heritance Kandalama was particularly memorable. The service and atmosphere at the Heritance Tea Factory, located inside a tea plantation, was also unforgettable. 98 Acres, facing Little Adam's Peak, gave us a wonderful sunrise and star gazing opportunity. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend it.

I recently completed an incredible 15-day trek to the Annapurna Circuit, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! Raja’s knowledge of the route, the culture, and the local history made the experience feel so much richer. His constant care for my well-being and his patience with any questions or concerns I had made me feel safe and at ease, even during the most challenging parts of the trek. Whether it was pointing out the best viewpoints, explaining the significance of local traditions, or sharing stories about the mountain people, Raja was a wealth of knowledge and always made the trek enjoyable. One of the highlights of the journey was the detour to Tilicho Lake—a stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The hike to Tilicho was demanding, but absolutely worth it. Standing at the edge of the lake, with its surreal turquoise waters reflecting the towering mountains around, felt like stepping into a dream. Raja made sure we took our time to acclimatize properly and appreciate the stunning landscapes that led up to the lake. The views were beyond anything I could have imagined, and it’s an experience I’ll never forget. The trek itself was absolutely stunning, with the Annapurna Circuit offering a variety of landscapes—from lush forests to high-altitude deserts, and breathtaking mountain views at every turn. We crossed Thorong La Pass, which was both physically demanding and incredibly rewarding, and the sense of achievement upon reaching the top was unforgettable.
