Next, we travel to Panna Meena ka Kund near Amber Fort before heading to Jal Mahal. Situated in the heart of Man Sagar Lake, the Jal Mahal (Water Palace) is a remarkable example of Rajput culture. Originally built in red sandstone, the palace and its surrounding lake were expanded and renovated in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
Then, we will visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of wind). This iconic landmark was commissioned by Sawai Pratap Singh. Originally designed for the royal household, the palace features tiered arches with intricate “jali” – latticework screens. Our next stop will be Jaipur’s City Palace.
