The trip really packed in some iconic elements of Costa Rica, and lived up to its name in terms of seeing the highlights. It was great to experience the contrast of the Caribbean lowlands, rain forest and the pacific coast. And seeing the abundance of wildlife was incredible, as well as the delicious local dishes and wonderful people we me along the way.
The guide was great, really personable and had good knowledge and a keen sense to show us as much as possible, often stopping en route when he had spied interesting animals from the van.
The Manuel Antonio and the La Fortuna accommodation was great. The Authentico hotel was fine for passing through but we had paid for an additional night in San Jose, and for this purpose the hotel wasn’t in the best of locations as it was on the edge of the city with not much around in terms of restaurants so we felt a bit stuck in the hotel at the end.

Overall the trip was good.
However, it would have been nice to have stayed an extra day at the eco-lodge Selva Verde, as a day off rather than at La Fortuna which was a tourist town. The trip was suppose to be a wildlife tour. There was only the need for one day at La Fortuna, so very disappointing missed out on Selva Verde.
The accommodation at La Fortuna was awful, more of a motel, very disappointing not even near a wildlife area, very disappointing.
Otherwise, the other hotels were very nice.
Our tour leader Walter, excellent, very entertaining, organised, informative, and efficient everyone liked Walter.
Also our Bus driver, Randy, very thoughtful about his passengers, an excellent driver, considering the conditions he had to drive in, and also he kept the bus clean, and tidy. Very impressed, little things.

This journey felt significantly longer than its actual duration—in the best possible way! The overall experience was outstanding. Patagonia is a wonderful destination, one of the last wildernesses in the world and a place to be treasured. We really enjoyed the hikes and would have been happy to do more. Tash the CEO and her colleagues were really friendly, helpful and passionate about Patagonia. Tash had excellent knowledgable about nature, flora, fauna and the areas we visited. The glaciers were breathtaking and the accommodation was excellent, especially Estancia Cristina, the remoteness was just what we needed, to be away from the frenetic ways of modern life for a while. The tour was well organised and communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend G Adventures for this type of holiday

Perfection. I have nothing to complain about. And it was truly the trip of a lifetime. I’ve wanted to visit Peru since I was 3 years old watching Jacque Cousteau (I’m 59 now) and it was every bit as magical, intriguing, awe inspiring, and beautiful as I had hoped.

We loved the variety of experiences. No two hotels or activities were quite the same and it was a great balance. We thought the first week was a bit better than the second week, but that's just us. Tortuguero and the nature around La Fortuna and Rio Celeste are hard to match. I'm sure birders will be very satisfied with this tour. We like doing our own thing and are pleased that we often have time to explore on our own. G Adventures, we'll be back.
