Summit some of the tallest volcanoes in Ecuador, ending with an epic climb of Chimborazo (5,897 m), the country’s highest peak.
The 10-day program is designed to educate and instruct people on high-altitude mountain climbing between 4,000 to 6,000 m. Our mountain base PapaGayo is nestled in the Avenue of the Volcanoes and is a perfect location because of its altitude (3,200 m) and proximity to the volcanoes.
With the assistance of a qualified and bilingual guide, this program acclimatizes and increases the fitness of the climbers so to prepare them for successful climbs of some of the highest volcanoes in South America.

These climbs offer spectacular and unsurpassed views of Ecuador and the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Specially designed, this program enables people with little or no experience to gain the ability and skills to climb some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
Join us on this guided, 5-day tour of Sierra Nevada del Cocuy Chita o Guican National Natural Park, a trekker's dream located in the easternmost part of the Colombian Andes, and get the chance to see stunning sights of magnificent mountains, towering rock faces and crystalline lakes along the way.
Trek through some of the most spectacular areas of El Cocuy and carry out a comprehensive, south-to-north tour of the mountain range. See El Cocuy's most impressive peaks, including Pan de Azucar, El Pulpito del Diablo and Ritacuba Blanco, and encounter a variety of environments. Walk through rich valleys full of exotic plants and streaked by streams and waterfalls, past barren but beautiful moraines that are dotted by glacial lakes, and along the base of towering mountains that are perennially covered in ice and snow.
Starting from the town of El Cocuy, this trek will take you through Lagunillas, an area with small lakes surrounded by mountains, and Laguna Grande de la Sierra before coming to an end in El Cocuy. It includes three long hiking days of 7 to 8 hours each and two nights spent in charming mountain cabins where the air is thin and the blankets are thick. We start early in the morning (around 5:00 am) when your tour guide and a driver will pick you up from your hotel. The first stop of the day will be at Mollepata where you will have a breakfast. Then continue your journey to Soraypampa. Take some rest and prepare yourself for the uphill hike to reach the highest point of the trail. Along the way, you will travel across wonderful landscapes surrounded by mountains.
Enjoy surreal views of Humantay Lake (4300 masl) and its surrounding mountains and glaciers. Then get into your transport and drive back to Cusco where you will reach at around 5:00 pm.
Do not miss out on this opportunity to visit Rainbow Mountain, one of Peru's most popular landmark, during a day trip. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at around 3:30 am in the morning and drive you through the South Valley. The drive to the trailhead takes around three hours long. We will also provide you with breakfast along the way.
Set off on the hike following a lovely stream. Herds of alpacas and llamas will surprise you along the way. In case you are lucky, you might also come across chinchillas and vicunas. Enjoy views of Ausangate Mountain as you hike through villages and interact with the local residents.
Reach your destination after around 90 minutes of hike. See the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m) and explore the surrounding landscape. You will spend approximately 30 minutes at the top before it is time to hike downhill, which takes around two hours.
Hop into the private ban and continue your journey back. There will be a stop for lunch before we head to Cusco. The total journey back to Cusco takes around three hours and we will drop you off at your hotel in the city at around 5:00 pm.
