This fabulous trip takes your average tour itinerary and raises the bar to a whole new level! Experience the best of Peru on this once in a lifetime tour.
The 15-day tour includes the bucket-list topping Incan city of Machu Picchu in Cuzco, which stands 2,430 meters above sea-level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. Known as the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments.
Other amazing sights include: Lake Titicaca in Puno with its science-defying floating islands; Colca Canyon in Arequipa which slices 10,725 feet into the earth and where tranquility and beauty abounds and where condors slice up the sky; the enigmatic Nazca Lines in Ica; and an overnight stay in the wilds of the Amazon Jungle in Puerto Maldonado.

This was definitely adventure travel with an emphasis on education. It felt like we were there for much longer than we were because each day was packed with wonderful activities. This was my 2nd G Adventures tour and appreciated the upgrades to the National Geographic version. While all of my memories are my favorite, what stands out most was the Amazon experience, the Potato Park venue, the "hidden oasis hotel" in Urubamba, and seeing Machu Picchu after the climb up the stairs. Also - the guides at each destination were also very knowledgeable and outgoing. Loved the whole trip.

Our trip to Peru was amazing! Our guide knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She recommend activities and restaurants and was just a phone call away. We felt very safe as we were always greeted by a G Adventures guide whenever we traveled to a different city.

Visit the beautiful South Pacific coast of Costa Rica during this four-day, self-guided trip. This particular region of the country is home to more than three percent of Costa Rica's biodiversity. A shuttle transfer will be arranged from one of the following destinations on the first day of the tour: San Jose, Jaco Beach, Manuel Antonio Beach or Dominical Beach. Travel to Sierpe, where you will take a boat to your hotel located in Drake Bay.
Explore Corcovado National Park, the main natural attraction of Osa Peninsula, and enjoy the rich biodiversity that the area has to offer. For your information, this national park has one of the largest population of scarlet macaws in Costa Rica.
Enjoy a boat tour to Cano Island and snorkel around its water. This island is currently a natural reserve and a great destination for those interested in snorkeling and observing marine wildlife, but used to be a pre-Columbian cemetery in the past.
Shuttle transfer is included on the last day of the trip to the following locations: San Jose, Jaco Beach, Manuel Antonio Beach and Dominical Beach. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.
This unique adventure focuses on two of South America’s heaviest hitters – the Galapagos Islands and the Inca Trail. Take 17 days to explore these wildly different parts of the region. Snorkel the turtle-filled waters of Leon Dormido, then walk the cobblestone streets of Cusco. Sit on black-sand beaches watching sea lions lounge and later conquer the 4200-metre-high Dead Woman’s Pass. Witness breathtaking natural beauty among the surreal landscapes of the Galapagos, then wonder at the man-made elegance of Machu Picchu. This tour offers immersive and active adventure led by locals in two bucket-list favourites.

This is an absolutely incredible tour -- our guide Jason was both very informative and very helpful. He explained the history of the Arenal volcano to us, we took a short hike a small part of the way up the mountain, and then went back down to look at wildlife in the rainforest. We saw spider monkeys, which Jason said are a pretty rare sight, and then a red curacao just walked out onto the trail in front of us! It was an incredible feeling to just be seeing all these animals spontaneously on a nature hike.
Speaking of hikes, it is important to be aware that this tour is somewhat physically demanding. There are no extreme parts, just some strenuous walking over very uneven ground, but I think the tour description could do a better job of emphasizing the challenge. At the same time, the tour is extremely convenient in terms of picking you up and dropping you off at your desired location, whether a hotel, hot springs, or somewhere else. Overall, I strongly recommend the Arenal Volcano trip to anyone who is into volcanoes and wildlife and plans to visit the Arenal area.

This spectacular tour will introduce you to two of South America's greatest travel icons – the mysterious wonder of Machu Picchu and the fascinating Amazon rainforest.
The sky-scraping citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as the Lost City of the Incas, was built in the peaks of the Andes around 1450. If its walls could talk, they would tell tales of Incan sacrifice, worship and royalty. The Amazon, meanwhile, comprises the most expansive rainforest in the world, home to the second-longest river on earth and the life-giving artery that pumps its way across South America. Much of this territory is untamed and some is even unchartered!
On this tour you will have the opportunity to explore the famous Machu Picchu, enjoy spotting exotic animals and other wildlife in the rainforest, and create memories to last a lifetime!

Everything went perfect. From the time I was picked up from the hotel in Manaus, the boat ride crossing the Negro and Amazon rivers, the drive from the pier to the boat ride to the resort. I was in awe of the beauty and enormity of the forest. While boating through the flooded path amidst the trees, I fell in love with the Amazon forest. Definitely coming back again.

Also called the Amazon of Costa Rica, Tortuguero National Park, located on the Caribbean coast, is home to a variety of wild animals and native plant species. Join us on this five-day tour of Tortuguero and soak up the rich biodiversity of this area.
Exceptionally high rainfall and a unique environment where freshwater meets the sea means that Tortuguero has numerous canals, lagoons and wetlands, which you will discover during your guided boat safari and walking tour. Depending upon your arrival date, you might even get to see green sea turtles laying eggs on the beach.
Please note that arrival and departure transfer is included in the tour price. However, you will have to purchase entrance tickets to Tortuguero National Park on your own. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.
There is no greater attraction in the Northern region of Costa Rica than the Arenal Volcano. So why not enjoy it in the most picturesque way possible? This tour combines an attractive boat ride on Arenal Lake followed by a hike through the national park where the volcano is located and provides you with impressive views of this natural wonder.
The tour begins with a short, 20-minute ride to the peninsula sector of Arenal Volcano National Park near Arenal Lake. Walk around 1.5km (nearly 1 mile) through a trail in the national park.
During the whole trip, you will be able to enjoy excellent views of Arenal Lake and the Tilaran Volcanic Mountains from different observation bays that are along the trail. At the end of the trail, you will have the opportunity to climb to an observation platform approximately 10m high to take a closer look at the volcano. Learn more about the history, activities and geological formation of this colossal natural wonder.
Enjoy a fresh, tropical fruit buffet lunch at the end of your trail before taking a boat for a ride along the edges of Arenal Lake. See the surrounding rainforest, islands, aquatic birds and animals that call this area their home. This is the best possible place to take incredible pictures of the Arenal Volcano, if the weather permits. After 45 minutes on the boat, head for the lake's boat station.

Tortuguero was full of great nature, although the heat and lack of fans and air conditioning can be brutal at times. Puerto Viejo/Cocles was our favorite and it was great to see the Caribbean side of Costa Rica; all of the experiences there were fantastic as well. Overall, we enjoyed our honeymoon and hope to make it back to Costa Rica to visit the other side of the coast in the future!
