Highlights of Bohemia has been my dream trip since 2019 (as my initial booking was cancelled more than once during 2020-2021 due to the pandemic and related social issues) and I'm so happy I was finally able to experience it. The trip was thoughtfully and wonderfully planned out. The coach travel was well-timed (with plenty of stops and even a couple of movies during the longer stretches). Having two nights for each hotel stay allowed the right balance of rest and travel. The itinerary was well-balanced between structured/ guided and free/ personal time and neither ever felt like too much or too little of either. The Tour Director was amazing in every way; extremely good at balancing and accomadating group and individual needs and, along with the Local Specialists provided global and local historical and social perspectives, as well as helpful suggestions for the best use of our free time. The drivers were safe and very helpful, and the coach was always clean and comfortable. Hotels were mostly centrally located, also allowing a better personal experience for those like me who enjoy wandering and enjoying local venues and persons.

Explore is getting worse and worse regarding customer service. If it wasn't for trips offered and mostly excellent tour leaders, would never recommend to friends. One option to better relationship would be to refund single supplement to anyone who is obviously not going to be paired off on a tour where all couples or different sex. Explore should be more considerate considering the profit margin on solo travel.

In May, I took some days off work for vacation in Arusha, Tanzania with Habari adventures. Entry point was Kilimanjaro airport before a visit to Serengeti and Kilimanjaro summit. On our way to Serengeti/Kilimanjaro, the Habari guides felt like old friends. We shared a lot of stories, including local legends which I really enjoyed. I had a superb safari, with well organised tour guides. The journey was tiresome, but the team was always present and very supportive. I went solo in low season (Jan) and it was amazing! It was cold at night, but i had the trail and all of the lodges to myself. That's how I like it. If you prefer a more solitary experience, this is the time to do it. Also, blue skies the entire time. I did 12 days that included Poon Hill and Anapurna Base Camp. Ramesh was my guide and he was the best! He really knows his stuff took care of everything. Such a great person too. I had been wanting to do this for 20 years and I was not disappointed. Seriously the trip of a lifetime. This outfit was recommended to me by word-of-mouth, and I'm telling everyone who will listen to come to Nepal and get into the mountains with these guys!

We had a great time on our walk. Everything went as described, including detailed information pre-tour, accomodation and luggage transfers. The Camino Norte was phenomenally beautiful although was harder physically than we had expected. It was our first multi-day trek and the more training you can do pre-trip (especially hills) the better. Day 2 was particularly hard but then your body adjusts and you get into a rhythm of the day. We are already planning our next trek.
