This tour is a great way to see the major sights in New Zealand. Many optional activities offer for an additional price which you can choose to participate in or not. Our tour guide George, made the trip very memorable. He loves his country and his enthusiasm was contagious. Our group started as strangers and left as friends.

Our overall experience was very positive. We were able to see the things we wanted to see. Some of the travel was long but that is the size of the countries. Would recommend it to others.

I traveled to New Zealand during the Fall it did rain on/off and was beautiful, lush green and clear blue skies. It was nice driving in the country and layering is perfect for this time of year. I liked, meet a Farmer, Milford Sound Day (it was a very long day) but worth it, Queenstown had many restaurants to walk too but take a taxi back it is very hilly in this city. Kiwi Park was fun to do and learn about their animals. Māori Village was awesome as well as Waitomo Caves! NZ natives and service staff were very nice and always helpful in all the places we stayed.
Honestly, one of the best experiences of my life. I loved every moment of the trip. The accommodation was great, the activities were fun and exciting and pushed me out of my comfort zone and I loved all the people.

The trip was amazing. I wis I continued on and did more of the trip with all the great people I met. The trip manager worked hard to make sure everyone got to do all the activities they wanted and our coach driver ensured we made it safely to every location. The highlights were definitely all the fun activities and making so many new friends.
The tour operator was amazing. I fell in love with New Zealand. Simon was great guide and the small tour group made it even better as we all became close friends. I would highly recommend the tour operator to all my friends and Family. I loved every moment that I was in New Zealand. I would come back in a heart beat and travel with the operator again.

Traveling solo doesn’t mean traveling alone—especially on this energizing 25-day "Solo-ish Down-Under" trip. Starting in Auckland and ending in Cairns, you’ll journey the length of New Zealand, from Māori cultural immersion and Kiwi cooking classes to the wild beauty of Franz Josef. Continue to Australia for a 4x4 wildlife adventure on French Island, a deep dive into Indigenous history at Uluru, and time at the Great Barrier Reef’s doorstep.
Tailored for experienced travelers with a moderate activity level, this small group tour offers camaraderie and flexibility, letting you share adventures or carve out solo moments as you please. The USP: a built-in community of fellow explorers and expert guides, ensuring you feel at home—whether you’re hiking, learning, or simply soaking in the spectacular scenery.

Marty was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire tour. His knowledge and humour was fantastic.
The various drivers during the tour were also very friendly and helpful.
The consideration the company extended to my wife's dietary requirements was immense.
I would recommend AAT to anyone who is considering a guided tour.
