Has been a great tour with excellent driver and tour guide that gave full Island knowledges. Always very kind and funny. The only observation I can make is at diamond beach too short time.
Thanks for sharing this amazing day.

Siggy was the kindest, most knowledgeable, most helpful tour guide. He knew Iceland and was kind and thoughtful to his customers. He stopped for bathroom breaks, made suggestions, asked our opinions and was so enjoyable. I would recommend him and this tour. We saw so much. Even though the tour started late we saw all the itinerary and more! One bonus was stopping to see a roundup of horses on the peninsula.
They cover everything on the way. Southern Iceland tour was good and our guide was a knowledgeable lady with an experience of travelling to over 55 countries. Only request is to increase the duration of visit at destinations by 10-15mins at least. This can be done by reducing time spent at super markets and cafes.
This tour takes you to South Iceland travelling through lush farmlands with views of powerful volcanoes, glaciers and thundering waterfalls.
First in a series of natural landmarks is Skógafoss waterfall, arguably the country‘s most iconic waterfall and one of South Iceland‘s star attractions. Viking legends tell of a treasure buried in a cave behind the waterfall.
From Skógafoss, you travel east to Sólheimajökull glacier for a 1-hour easy walk in a spellbinding glacier landscape. The combination of expansive views, jagged peaks, cool blue glaciers and wide-open sky provide a steady stream of amazing photographic opportunities.
Heading back to Reykjavik from Sólheimajökull is the iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can literally walk behind a curtain of water — certainly a moment you’ll want to capture on camera.
Your South Iceland journey will take you through the country’s lush farmlands flanked by rugged mountains, glaciers (including the infamous Eyjafjallajökull) and volcanoes. Witness the stunning interior on one side and vast Atlantic ocean views on the other.
On this tour of South Iceland, you will experience the powerful beauty of Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Here, the Seljalandsá river, which originates under Eyjafjallajökull glacier, falls. Also see Skógafoss, one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland.
Just outside the town of Vík í Mýrdal (or just Vík to the locals) you will visit the soaring basalt rock formation known as Reynisdrangar and the black sand and pebble beach of Reynisfjara.
A written description is nothing compared to the lived experience. Let the guides at Gray Line bring South Iceland to life with stories, facts, science and history.
Starting in the soulful city of Reykjavik, this trip will have you widening your eyes at the best of Iceland's unique natural beauty. Along the way you’ll witness erupting geysers & cascading waterfalls, marvel at volcanoes & glaciers and soak in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal mineral wonder surrounded by steam and stars. By the time it’s over, you’ll be floating home with a full camera reel and a lovestruck look plastered all over your face.
Travel with us on this awe-inspiring route to the southern-most tip of Iceland. On this scenic trip to Vík, we embark on a journey to some of Iceland's most iconic natural monuments.
Through vast grasslands, dividing the heavenly glacier-covered peaks of Eyjafjallajökull from the ill-tempered waters of the Atlantic, we arrive at Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. Here, you will have breathtaking panoramic views of the most remote, interior regions of the highlands. Long ribbons of ash coloured ice flow from the hillsides.
Then, have a remarkable and memorable experience seeing the utter beauty of Sólheimajökull glacier. Ponder the unearthly basalt columns in Reynisfjara and stroll along the spirited black sand beaches of Dýrholaey.
You will surely discover and experience one of the most geographically diverse routes in Iceland, before ending the tour in the quaint and quiet village of Vík. You return to Reykjavik in the evening relaxed, full of memories and impressions that will last a lifetime.
