The German Danube cycle tour is a great way to visit the German countryside. The bike tracks are very safe, sometimes sealed and sometimes gravel, but never difficult to ride on. The accommodation was excellent, as were the meals provided. The bikes and guide documentation were all first class. Note it does take a little while to learn to read the maps properly, but no issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for a slightly longer tour.
Our cycle tour was a special birthday celebration for me and my sisters 60th year and it didn’t disappoint. The tour was very well organised, from the information we received when collecting our bikes, the maps and additional info, to the collecting of our luggage every morning and the delivery of the luggage to the next destination. We had paid extra for 4 star hotels and whilst most of them were lovely there was one hotel that was definitely not a 4 star hotel. We were very lucky with the weather, and thoroughly enjoyed every day cycling along the stunningly beautiful Danube. Truly a holiday to remember. As a result of this experience we are eagerly planning our next cycling holiday.

Enjoyed cycling in different areas with varied scenery and other days spent exploring cities. Staying on the boat and not having to move hotels as on many cycling holidays was a bonus

Our bicycling trip (Passau to Vienna) was a wonderful family adventure for myself, my husband, and our adult son and daughter (ages 28 and 26). Everything was extremely well-organized by the tour operator, and the staff there quickly responded to any questions or issues that arose, both before our travels and during. We had some difficulty locating the place where we were to pick up the bikes despite following the instructions provided, and few people in the area seemed to know of them. We eventually found it, but as it was raining hard, we were all somewhat sleep-deprived, and the distance from our hotel was longer than we had expected with only major roads on which to travel, we asked the bike rental company for a ride back to our hotel, which they did for 60 Euros. That process felt more stressful than necessary, but once we started out the next morning from Passau, everything was perfect. We loved biking along the Danube - the paths are well marked, the scenery is stunning, and the information provided by the operator was extremely useful. We would definitely book again with this operator and look forward to our next adventure!

From Budapest to Passau via Bratislava, Vienna and Melk, these cities rich in culture and history will unveil their secrets. Discover the Schoenbrunn Palace and the beautiful Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its wooded hillsides, orchards, small villages, vineyards and monasteries, it is the most picturesque part of the Danube and where the majestic Dürnstein Castle stands.
This was our first cycling holiday and didn’t really know what to expect but we loved it. We felt that it challenged us but was doable and it was great to arrive each night to somewhere new - the hotels were great and we really enjoyed the varying and contrasting experiences of cycling along the Danube making it really difficult to pick out a favourite day or part. The bikes (push) were in good condition and luggage transfer was excellent. There were designated cycling paths virtually the whole way and it was exciting being able to cycle into Vienna. Overall a brilliant holiday which we extended with a night in Munich (booked independently) before hand and an extra night in Vienna at the end (booked through UTracks).

The route from Passau, on Germany's eastern border, to Vienna is one of the most popular cycle paths in Europe, and it's no wonder! This stretch of the Danube carves its way through a thousand years of history; 60 dramatic castles and palaces lie along the river and the ever-changing landscape is a kaleidoscope of fertile plains, narrow gorges, lowland forests, bird-rich marshland and acres of picturesque vines.

My wife and I completed the self guided cycle trip from Passau to Budapest. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The provided bikes were great, accommodation was comfortable, provided documentation was excellent and luggage transfer was flawless. In general the cycle paths were in very good condition.
I would recommend this trip to even inexperienced riders, it is a great way to see the country.
