Very friendly welcome, thorough briefing for all the activities. Roomy tents at base camp on Tavewa Island. Bubbly and pre-dinner snacks at sunset on the beach! The "kokoda" was 1st class! All the kayaking equipment was in top condition including all the safety gear. Never felt rushed. Lovely stay at Tavutoa village with local dance and singing performers finishing with good kava. Kayaking in remote parts of Fiji with very few tourists around meant our experience was special and authentic. The guides were awesome. The food was fabulous with fish being caught and cooked that night for dinner. Conditions were challenging but within the capabilities of the group. Kayaking experience definitely necessary for this one. The snorkelling was a treat, and swimming with mantas at our end destination magical. I didn't want it to end.

The scenery and the activities were amazing. Ahu deserves a raise for his ability to make sure that everyone got to complete the activities that they wanted to. He juggled things around to keep everyone happy and make sure that everyone got the most out of their trip. The funny commentary and good music was a bonus. In the future though, there were communication errors between Topdeck as a company and the information Ahu was provided, such as what time we needed to arrive back into Wellington which some passengers who needed to catch flights back immediately found stressful.

Then the flight up to the tarn to camp and play and learn. Our guide was the best. He knew the terrain, kept us informed and most importantly was very experienced.
