Lights on Africa Destinations & Safaris gave us a tour that was incredibly rich in time. On the very first day I saw elephants, lions on trees, and innumerable colorful birds in Lake Manyara. Then Sarangeti - it was like a dream to see lions hunting live here. The moment when Ngorongoro descended into the crater on the last day will be remembered forever. Join us on this four-day, guided tour and make the most of your short stay in Tanzania with a visit to two of its iconic national parks. Serengeti National Park, your first wildlife destination, is famous for its huge concentration of wildlife, especially big cats, as well as for being the stomping ground of the great migration, which sees one and a half million wildebeests, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles traveling over 1,200 miles in an annual race for water and green grass.
The Ngorongoro Crater, where you will proceed from Serengeti, is the world's largest intact caldera, forming a spectacular bowl spread over 265 square kilometres with sides up to 600m deep. The crater is home to as many as 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any given time.
Also included is a stopover at the famous Olduvai Gorge, where the missing puzzles of human evolution were found. Please note that two night's accommodation in Moshi, one night each before Day 1 and on Day 4, is included in the tour price.

This safari is of small number of days but it will give you an opportunity to discover the African wilderness secrets. It is designed for two people sharing accommodation. Recently, a rare white (albino) giraffe has been discovered at Tarangire National Park. No other place in the world has this rare creature been seen. You may be lucky to spot this giraffe named Omo as well.

This 4-day safari tour will take you through then northern safari circuit in Tanzania where you will visit Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater Conservancy finalizing with a Cultural experience or nature hike in the Manyara region. Serengeti National Park is a must see for any Tanzanian visit and necessitates at least 2 days of game viewing. This ensures you have enough time to roam this gigantic park in search of wildlife. Search for the big five and many other mammals and birds on game drives.
There is more to Serengeti than large mammals. Gaudy agama lizards and rock hyraxes scuffle around the surfaces of the park’s isolated granite koppies. A full 100 varieties of dung beetle have been recorded, as have 500-plus bird species, ranging from the outsized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Lobo Hills.
A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime. There are few places that have wildlife densities and variety at this level. It is not unusual to see the big five in one day, here in the most amazing, unique setting with a backdrop of a 600m/1968ft high crater wall.
On the last day, you have the option of a cultural experience with the Maasai people, nature hike in the Manyara region visit the plantations to the waterfalls may be have a swim if time allows.

The famous Ngorongoro Crater is where you’ll discover nature’s “Big Five” all staking their claim to superiority in nature’s caldron. The crater, which has been declared a World heritage site, is 7,500 ft above sea level, and is the largest unbroken caldera in the world.
Surrounded by very steep walls rising 2,000 ft from the crater floor, this natural amphitheater measures 12 miles in diameter and 188 sq miles in area. It is home of up to 30,000 animals, almost half being wildebeest and zebra. Buffalo, Elephant, Hippo, Hyena, Jackal, Lion, Ostrich, Warthog, Bushbuck, Eland, Hartebeest, Waterbuck and huge herds of Gazelle’s are common on the crater floor.
Thanks to anti-poaching patrols, the crater is now one of the few places in East Africa where visitors can be certain of seeing a Black Rhino. Leopards may occasionally be spotted in the trees of the surrounding forest while Cheetah are present but rarely seen.
Large herds of Giraffes live on the rim of the crater and will be seen on the drive to Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti. Countless Flamingo form a pink blanket over the soda lake of Manyanra while more than 100 species of birds, not found in the Serengeti, can been spotted.

This package includes all the highlights of a safari trip in your Tanzania safari experience: Serengeti National Park (world heritage site), Ngorongoro Crater (world heritage site), Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National Park with an option to visit Maasai village to have a practical experience of their culture, looking at their daily activities and more.
This gives you the chance to experience all the iconic animals of Africa on an intense, compact safari tour. At the same time, the trip features both hotel accommodation in Arusha and stay in a public tented camp, where you can enjoy first-hand interaction with the nature of Africa by sleeping in the tent. The tents are equipped with mattresses and sleeping bags, there are toilet facilities in the campsite within all the parks.
The 4 days tour typically start from/to Arusha but if you are flying into Tanzania then we have the option of picking you from the airport in Kilimanjaro and transferring you to Arusha and starting the tour the next day. You will be met at Kilimanjaro Airport by your guide, who will take you to a hotel in Arusha where you will check in and rest at the hotel.
Your tour will end in Arusha, but if you are flying out the next day we will drop you back to Kilimanjaro International Airport from Arusha.
