Delhi is not just India's capital city and a modern-day metropolis but a treasure trove of ancient and medieval heritages displaying stunning architectural beauty. Join us on this private, guided, eight-hour tour and discover this ancient city.
We will pick you up from your hotel or accommodation between 9:00 am and 11:00 am in the morning (you choose the time) and drive you to the tomb of the famous Mughal emperor Humayun. The tomb, located in Nizamuddin East, was declared a Unesco World Heritage site in 1993. It is also the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent.
Visit another Unesco World Heritage site, Qutab Minar, a soaring, 73-meter tower and the tallest brick minaret in the world. It was built in 1193 by Qutub-ud-din Aibak immediately after defeating Delhi’s last Hindu king. We will then take you to the Lotus Temple , the last of seven major Bahai temples that was built in 1986 out of pure white marble.
Head for Old Delhi now. Your first stop is Jama Masjid, a highly decorative mosque with three large gates, four towers and two 40-metre-high minarets constructed of red sandstone and white marble. Travellers can hire robes at the northern gate. This may be the only time you get to dress like a local without feeling like an outsider so make the most of it.
Travel to India Gate, located at the centre of New Delhi, next. This 42-metre-high archway commemorates the sacrifice made by 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I. We will then take you to the massive Red Fort, a historic fort that rises above the clamour of Old Delhi and was built by the Mughals.
We will drop you off at your hotel or location after the tour is over. Please note that entrance fees to the monuments is not included in the tour price.

I had an amazing tour, thanks to Mr. Dinesh Kumar who took a good personal care of me since the first message I dropped here to enquire about some details, and he showed a high amount of welcoming, accommodating and flexibility to change some minor details in the program to suit my needs. I was able to see a lot in the 6 days I spent on the tour, this included tourist sights, traditional markets and a wildlife safari. The car was clean and comfortable, the hotels were thoroughly selected, especially those in Agra and Jaipur which I liked the most, and the guides I met in each city were kind and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this tour and company enough, and I wish them all the success in the future.

This 11-day northern India tour finishes with two days exploring the Holy City of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges, after exploring Agra, home to the Taj Mahal, rural Rajasthan and Jaipur.
This India tour starts in the capital city, Delhi, with tours of both the old and new sides of this bustling city, now home to over 18 million people. We then head south into the arid state of Rajasthan, home to impressive forts and palaces, colourful saris and jewellery, and fascinating Indian history. We firstly visit Agra, home to the incomparable Taj Mahal, the world's most famous monument to love. We continue the tour's theme of mixing unmissable tourist sites with activities and experiences more off the beaten track by taking a Mughal Heritage Walk with a local villager through farmland and homesteads on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River to the Taj Mahal. This tour supports the local community and provides a fascinating insight into village life in Agra as well as providing great views of the Taj not normally seen. We'll also see the Taj Mahal close up at sunrise as the changing morning light brings the building to life in different hues and colours.

We'll then visit the Amber Fort, City Palace and the Jantar Mantar Observatory in the 'Pink City' of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, as well as exploring its famous craft and produce markets.
After returning to Delhi, we take to India's famous railway network for the journey to Varanasi. While in Varanasi, we'll take an early morning boat trip on the river, take part in an evening Aarti ceremony giving candlelit offerings to the river, and visit Sarnath, where the Lord Buddha preached his first sermon.
Another train journey then takes us back to Delhi to finish the India tour (flight upgrades are available if preferred).

Delhi stands as the capital of Modern India. Here, you can see the mingling of the Old and New India, the ancient and the modern.
It is made up of seven ancient cities, spanning the period from the 11th to 20th centuries, and has seen the rise and fall of many emperors which have left behind a plethora of monuments that commemorate the grandeur and glory of bygone ages. Very few cities in the world can express such a profusion of architectural styles.
Old Delhi was an ancient walled city. Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1650 switched the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Shah Jehan, who possessed an exquisite talent, particularly in architecture, created the seventh city and in the process brought about Delhi's glorious renaissance.
Here, you will see Red Fort, the most opulent of forts and Palace of the Mughal Empire. The fort is Shah Jehan's symbol of power and elegance, built behind red sandstone walls. Its main gate (Lahore Gate) faces Chandni Chowk, the perpetually congested avenue heading west. It is filled with twisting lanes, small streets and crowded bazaars. If you peer through a portico you may see a man getting shaved, silver being weighed, or any other conceivable form of intense commerce.
We will also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's. It's a city of wide boulevards impressive government buildings, green parks and gardens. In 1911 King George V announced the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi. The King's architects, Lutyens and Baker, set in motion the design and construction of Delhi's eighth city - New Delhi. Lutyens designed an imperial city which had palatial-sized buildings set amid broad tree-lined avenues punctuated by Mughal style gardens, complete with fountains and shallow pools. It took 20 years to complete this immense undertaking only to have the British pack up and relinquish the subcontinent in 1947.
You will also visit two monuments from Delhi's past - Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, the imposing India Gate and Parliament House.
At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
This 8-day India tour is the perfect introduction to this fascinating country, covering the iconic 'Golden Triangle' of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with an additional village stop included at the Suroth Mahal.
This India holiday starts in Delhi, taking in both new and old sides to the city. Old Delhi, the home of the Mughal Empire centuries ago, boasts a wealth of fascinating history, beautiful architecture, great street food, and vibrant lifestyle, while New Delhi's architecture, religious sites and modern aspects form an intriguing contrast. We know that no visit to Delhi is complete without an iconic rickshaw ride or a taste of the world famous street food, that's why these experiences have been included at no additional cost!
Moving on to Agra, we'll firstly visit the Sheroes cafe for lunch, a great little NGO, supporting victims of acid attacks which we're proud to support. We'll then join a local villager who will escort us on a Mughal Heritage Walk through villages and farmland on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River to the Taj Mahal. This walking tour supports the local community and provides a fascinating insight into village life in Agra as well as providing great views of the Taj Mahal not normally seen. A sunrise tour of the Taj then follows before we head out into the countryside for a night in a converted palace and explore the village and surroundings, getting a real feel for rural Indian life.
As we move on to Jaipur, we visit the huge Step Well at Abanheri with its 3,500 steps and 13 stories (you might recognise it from the Great Exotic Marigold movie). Whilst in the 'Pink City' of Jaipur, capital of the arid state of Rajasthan, we'll visit the Amber Fort, City Palace and Jantar Mantar Observatory before exploring the city's famous craft and produce markets on foot and join a block printing workshop.
After returning to Delhi, you have the option of joining an optional tour to the huge Akshardam Temple, for their aweinspiring multi-media show.
The accommodations used on this tour have been carefully selected and include a home-stay style hotel whilst in Delhi, a modern property in Agra and heritage hotels in Jaipur and at Suroth Mahal.
