This 18-day, guided trip will take you to the top of Mera Peak (6,461 m), one of the most sought-after trekking peaks in Nepal. Starting from Kathmandu, the Nepalese capital city, we will fly to Lukla and continue our journey to Mera Peak Base Camp via Pangkongma, Chhatra Khola and Khare until we reach the upper edge of the famous Khumbu region, home to some of the highest peaks in the world.
Summit the peak under the watchful supervision of our expert guide. In case the day is clear, you will enjoy stunning views from atop the peak, before heading down the same route.
Staying in Hotel Moonlight or similar on arrival in Kathmandu. Standard teahouses and tents will be used for accommodation during the trek. Please note that most teahouses only have shared toilet facilities. For tent accommodation, a four-season sleeping bag and a foam mattress will be provided. All accommodations in Kathmandu and in teahouses are on a twin-shared basis.
We can request for a single room in Kathmandu and during the trek (wherever possible) at an additional single supplement fee of USD 350 per person. However, single supplement during the trek will not be possible everyday since there are several teahouses along the trekking route that do not allow single room accommodation. Annapurna Circuit Trekking begins from Ngadi or Jagat, some six hours drive from Kathmandu and then the trail takes to Dharapani, Chame and making a circuit to Pisang or Manang (3540 m) peak, along the route visitors will have scenic views of Annapurna II (7937m), III (7555m), IV (7525m), and Gangapurna (7455m) and making excursion to the area, return back to Manang village, the trail heads up to ledar (4030m), Thorong Phedi via thorong Pass (5416m), reaches to Muktinath (3800 m) Kagbeni (3100m) and finally at Jomsom (2770m) and fly back to Pokhara and subsequently to Kathmandu.
I completed the EBC trek with this local tour operator in October. From the beginning the company were excellent. They responded to all questions very quickly and clearly. They provided lots of extra information for me for my stay in Kathmandu. The guide on my trek, Raj, was excellent. He was great fun and had our safety as his first priority all the time. He kept us positive throughout and gave us clear information before each day of what would happen. The lodges we stayed in were exactly what we needed and the food throughout the trek was great. Our porters were also great fun and so kind. Raj was excellent at keeping everyone together and making sure that everybody was ok during the trek. We had a beautiful celebratory dinner once we had completed the trek, where we saw some traditional dancing and received plaques to remember our trek. The trek exceeded my expectations and I think a lot of that is down to Himalayan Recreation. I would highly recommend them for your trek!
