This trek is one of the most popular choices among trekkers. It covers not only Everest Base Camp but also Lukla, Namche Bazar, and Tengboche. The highlights of this expedition are Everest Base Camp (5364 m), Kala Patthar (5545 m), and Gokyo Lakes (4,700 m-5,000 m). Our trek will begin from the mountain town of Lukla, a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu. Our goal is to trek for up to six hours a day. Since we will be trekking in the high altitude area, we have set aside one day in the itinerary for acclimatization. We will be trekking on the trails near waterfalls, un-spoilt Buddhist monasteries, and through the enchanting Sherpa villages. Once we have reached the Everest Base Camp, we will also trek to Kala Patthar, which is a great vantage point for magnificent views of the southwest face of Mount Everest and other surrounding mountains such as Nuptse and Lhotse.We will visit Gokyo Lake during our return journey from the base camp.
