This three-day, private, guided safari trip is for those who want to make the most of their short stay in Kenya. In addition to the Big Five, Maasai Mara is also famous for its annual migration, when millions of wildebeests – not to mention tens of thousands of zebras and gazelles – migrate north from Serengeti. This spectacle starts in late July or early August and continues until October.
We will pick you up on the first day of the tour from your centrally located hotel in Nairobi and drive you to Maasai Mara. There is a stopover of around 30 minutes at a viewpoint in the Rift Valley. 'Glenys went away talking about animals and came home talking about the people'. We ended (our trip to Africa) on a high by spending a day in Nairobi with this tour operator. I recommend this tour as a truly rewarding experience. The money paid buys pigs for women to start a pig-breeding and selling business, and thus support their families. We spent time with 2 beautiful grandmas, cooking chapatis together for lunch then seeing their home, vegetable garden and pigpens. Hearing their life stories brought tears to our eyes, but they have truly come a long way. Inspirational! Everyone we met was cheerful, friendly and happy to do anything for us. Their happiness was contagious!
