Excellent trip. Great balance between cycling and sightseeing. Tour leader couldn't be better - great English, very knowledgeable about the culture and history / archaeology - and supported by an excellent team. Jordan is such an amazing country, and seems entirely safe from the nearby conflict in Gaza.

This was a great itinerary, although an extra day in Petra would be helpful especially when you are battling heat. To have time to actually use the pool at the 'village' hotel would be incredible. We came in around 10-11pm and were out by 7 am the next morning.
Also, you really need to deal with the 'extra' activities. We came in early to do the Desert Castles add-on and were told we had to wait to talk to our tour director - who we didn't see until 6 pm that evening when it was too late. (when we asked about it before going we were told to talk to our tour director when we got there)

This is a fabulous way to get to know the history and culture of Jordan. The hikes helped us feel grounded in the spectacular landscapes we visited and gave us some precious opportunities to meet local people. Everything was perfect. was an excellent tour guide. I do feel bad that he wasn’t told or us that we would be lacking a ceo tour manager. was able to make up for it. But next time contiki should let the tour group know in case people want to cancel. Some folks were not happy.
