Unforgettable trip! The small group made for a relaxed, fun atmosphere we were often crying with laughter. If there’s one suggestion, it would be to skip Marseille ( feels unsafe ) and consider a stop in St. Tropez or Cannes instead for a more memorable coastal experience.

The experience of cycling in Albania was very interesting as far as seeing different parts of the country, interacting with Albanian people, learning about the culture and history and cycling through forests and fields and down to the beaches. The cycling itself was quite hard in terms of the hills, but because of the bikes/gears it was very attainable. We were able to stop and rest, as necessary and always had support and encouragement from our guide and the van.

This trip was suggested to me by a friend, but as an 83 year-old who ‘peaked’ more than 10 years ago I had some reservations about going on it. However, my fears were put to rest when I saw that the same hotel was used before and after the most challenging stage – the 14-mile final stretch of the northern trail, including the crossing of Mount Pantokrater. But in the event, although the terrain is hilly with some steep climbs I didn’t find any of the walking particularly difficult. It helped that a lot of the journey was on shady woodland tracks. Mt Pantokrator was quite an easy climb, the only challenge being the length of the day and the distance. Not having visited Corfu before I found it a fascinating place, and have many vivid memories of the trip. We were fortunate to have, in Spiros, a leader who was very knowledgeable about local history, politics and wildlife. He worked very hard to make the holiday enjoyable for us, including leading us on a beautiful coastal walk to Kassiopi on the free day. I only wish I had discovered the island earlier so that I could walk the southern section as well.

Our itinerary was brilliant, never making us feel rushed but ensuring we got to experience the best Egypt has to offer in a 10 day visit. Ramez our guide is the best you can hope for. His knowledge of Egyptology, care for us as a group, organisation and kind and happy nature left us with memories and friendships that will last a life-time. Not once did I feel unsafe or at risk as a solo mid 20's female traveller. The Jordan part of the trip, while a beautiful country with amazing sites and experiences also was a bit rushed and felt disorganised. Don't let this stop you from booking the Egypt part of the trip though! I would recommend this trip to anyone, especially with the overnight on a Felucca boat - a highlight of the trip for me!!

I enjoyed the variety of places we visited. I especially liked having a local guide at each location to learn about the history and culture of each place. The only regret for me was that we couldn’t spend more time in Lake Bled. I liked that we were able to take the boats over to the island, but I would have also enjoyed seeing a view of the lake from a higher vantage point to be able to see the entire lake with the island in the middle. Otherwise, I was fully pleased with the itinerary of the tour.
