As a package this trip comes together incredibly well. The walk is nicely challenging for those used to hills, steps and uneven surfaces. I would grade it “moderate” rather than “leisurely to moderate”. Being based in one place for the week, in a small village away from the main tourist spots, was a bonus I hadn’t anticipated before the walk. The accommodation was peaceful and comfortable. The guide had an excellent knowledge of local history and its people. His stories and passion enriched the whole experience no end.

An amazing hike. It is hard work with lots of mountains to climb, but very rewarding. The app makes it really easy to follow the route. The white villages are beautiful and all the accommodation was very comfortable.

This holiday gives the perspective on two different Maltese islands, Malta being the largest of the two, only 27km long and 14.5km wide so you'll see plenty of breath taking sea views with dramatic sandstone cliffs, time worn salt pans and perfect fishing villages where the traditional and colourful Luzzo boats can be seen bobbing around in the bays. Your hotel in Malta is based in the quieter side of St Julian's just 350m away from the front at Balluta Bay and is tucked away in a quiet, narrow alley. Only negative was hotel in Florence. Good location (change from original hotel) but was tired and cleanliness could have been better. Very cramped solo room 🙁
Highlights were Pienza and Castellina in Chianti. Great hotels, beautiful walks and really good food and wine. 😀

Start off the week in the Troodos Mountains and the stone-built village of Kakopetria, with its narrow, cobbled streets and the nearby 11th century painted church, Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis, one of ten that make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Painted Churches in the Troodos Region.
