This trip was a real eye opener into a very different way of life. It was very educational. We enjoyed the perspective of the local people when it came to past issues i.e, the war in Vietnam, the genocide in Cambodia. The group size was wonderful and we got to know each other very well.
I felt the G Adventures tour provided experiences you could not get on your own, and made the travel stress-free. You spend the time enjoying the experiences and not having to think about logistics. The local guides and CEO were all fantastic cultural translators who went the extra mile to provide a rich experience.
Travelling in this way helps you to see so much in a short space of time. The hassle of working out the itinerary and logistics is done for you but still aowinv you to make choices of what you would like to see and do. As a solo traveller its a great way to see the world and make new friends with like minded people.

Traveling for 16 days across 4 countries with my best friend was our dream since high school. Each activity planned was fantastic, and the experiences in every country were unforgettable. The Spirit of Laox trip was excellent, great value for what was included. We especially liked the trip on the Mekong River, it was a lovely restful day inbetween alll the other full on days. We liked the amount of activities and trips provided by Explore and all were interesting and enjoyable . The tour leader, Silk, was great and he had a huge knowledge of the history of Laos and Cambodia which added to the interest The local guides, Tae and Pheng, in Laos were also very knowledgeable and helpful. Very good trip. In Siam Riep, it would have been good to have some free time and maybe some trips other than to temples (e.g. land mine rats). Otherwise, a very good trip overall.
