I went on the 12 day Thailand trip - absolutely amazing. Koh Phangan especially was so nice, and the temples in Bangkok and evening boat tour in Koh Phi Phi was amazing (especially seeing the bioluminescent plankton at night!). Michelle (my tour leader) was especially incredible, she made the trip so fun and was there for any worries I had. Big shout out to our local tour guide too, Nana, who was super funny and super interesting to learn about the local Thai culture. It was my first time doing a tour like this, and Ive already booked a second tour with intro next summer! All in all, incredible trip! Cannot recommend enough.
I was lucky enough to have Ming as my tour guide in Thailand, and honestly, she made the whole trip unforgettable. From start to finish, she went above and beyond — always so friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made sure everyone in the group was happy and comfortable.
What really stood out was how much she truly loves what she does — her energy and positivity were infectious, and she shared so much knowledge about Thai culture and local life in such a fun and personal way. By the end of the tour, it felt like saying goodbye to a good friend rather than a guide.
I’ll never forget this trip, and a huge part of that is thanks to Ming. She’s one of a kind, and anyone lucky enough to have her as their guide is in for something really special.
Journeys: Iconic Thailand was a fabulous experience!!! We had the most wonderful tour guide (shout out to Natthanan Chai Yenklom--the very best!!!!) who looked after every detail and made the experience comfortable and enjoyable for each person on the trip. I loved the varied activities--the home visit and cooking class in Chiang Mai; Ko Klang Island and Hong Island in Southern Thailand; and the amazing temples in Bangkok were particular highlights for me on the trip. I would do another National Geographic Journeys/G Adventures tour in the future!
This small-group tour will guide you through the most beautiful turquoise beaches and exotic islands of Thailand. Begin your tour in Phuket, the largest island in Thailand and one of the most breathtaking destinations in Southeast Asia. Famous for its sandy beaches, forested hills, majestic mountains, limestone cliffs, low plains, lagoons, and lush tropical vegetation, there are many sites to explore! Take the ferry to Phi Phi Island off the Andaman Coast before you travel to Krabi to admire the picture-perfect surroundings. You will have plenty of time to relax on the white beaches and discover the exotic temples! From there you will travel to Singapore, boasting historical landmarks, diverse culture, religious sites, exhilarating activities, and cultural events. End your tour in Singapore as you discover manmade attractions, such as Merlion, an icon national symbol, and the oldest Chinese temple Thian Hock Kheng.
The north of Thailand was my FAVOURITE. I loved the diverse range of 'stays' which kept it exciting and much like an adventure and showed what Thailand had to offer. The Jungle Raft on the second night was an essential bonding experience for the group and allowed us to build friendships and enjoy the trip way more than if we hadn't had that crucial opportunity to connect. The included experiences, free time add ons, and even trip manager suggestions were all top tier! I didn't regret a single experience. 2 night stays were also a relief as travelling can get quite tiring and found that their timing was essential.
