At 74 I feel I'm beginning to run out of time to see all the countries on my "Bucket List" and, as someone who normally travels alone, it would take me ten years at least to see everything. So I booked my first coach tour - their Best of Europe 22-day 15 country tour. It was so much fun! I saw it was fast-paced and early starts (I'm always up by 6am) so I worked on my fitness beforehand - and was generally ahead of all the others on walking tours. The itinerary on The Jewels of Italy Tour is exceptional, not only do you get to see the major attractions in the big cities, but you also get to see the smaller towns of Pisa and Verona. I thought the Coach was very comfortable. Although, I was surprised that there was no bathroom in the back, but there were enough Pitstops made for bathroom breaks, so it was not needed. We thought the Hotels were more than adequate for the paid.

We booked a 7 day trip with U-Tracks, with the ultimate goal of summiting Gran Paradiso. We were a group of 11 work colleagues who annually take on a charity event with this being the selected even this year. I must admit the trip was spectacular. the 6 day 'approach' to gran paradiso was varied in the way of physical challenge and then scenery. our guide - max was first class. he was able to assess the group and maintained a superb pace to keep us all moving. this was the first time we had taken on something as demanding as this (the final day in particular). The last day summit of gran paradiso was physically challenging but not technically (the very final summit section becomes technical but very well managed). the whole trip was fantastic from start to finish. I would 100% recommend and use again.
