Great trip. Seeing the remoteness of the N and W of Tasmania contrasted with the very different side on the NE and S.
Waking up in Cradle Mountain to snow and freezing temperatures will remain a highlight of the trip, closely followed by Launceston’s Cataract Gorge optional cruise which included a wine tasting! Very difficult to select highlights!
I like the fact that Margaret, the very knowledgable guide, gave us a variety of information on the history including convict background to Sarah Island and Port Arthur, human geography, agriculture etc and makes the area really come alive.
Experience the splendour and remote wonders of an island that prospers in its isolation on this six-day nature-filled adventure through Tasmania. Discover UNESCO national parks, from the coastal heath and sand dunes that meet the rainforest in Takayna/Tarkine to the glacier-sculpted terrain that envelops Cradle Mountain. Stroll along the stunning Wineglass Bay in the shadow of Freycinet’s pink peaks and be mesmerised by the contrasting powder-white sands, turquoise waters and orange-hued granite in the world-famous Bay of Fires. Surround yourself with endemic wildlife, from Tasmanian devils to fairy penguins, and spend your free evenings indulging in world-class seafood in quaint coastal towns.

Tours to Tasmania don’t get much more epic than this two-week sojourn. Expect World Heritage listed historic sites and wilderness areas, blinding beaches and glacial lakes, with a parade of distilleries, wineries and farm gates in between. It’s hard to pick highlights, but we’ll throw a few out there: a Wineglass Bay cruise, part of your Freycinet adventure; a Gordon River cruise along Tasmania’s wild West Coast; and a Port Arthur guided tour, among so many others. This is Tasmania touring at its finest.

AAT is an excellent tour company, I would rate them highly.
They look after their customers very well, are helpful and attentive. The tour guide Margaret was wonderful as was the bus driver. Margaret was very informative and helpful and had so much knowledge to share.
The accommodation was always good. I liked the interaction AAT Kings provided with the two dinners together (very special) with all the people on the tour on 2 separate evenings, the delicious breakfast meals we had and the welcome drink on arrival was very special and a nice personal touch for us all. The small free gift was a special touch. I love the colour of the bag. It'll be very useful. Thank you.
From two previous tour companies overseas that I've travelled with in the past and also AAT Kings in Australia, I'd honestly have to say, AAT Kings was head and shoulders above the others. Such impeccable service. It would be hard to beat.
All my friends and family raved about the scenery on the journey and the places we visited.
I'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending AAT Kings.

The AATKINGS Wilderness trip was easy and enjoyable. There were options to do more or less each day. The coach, food and accommodation were great but it was the easy way the trip showed off beautiful Tasmania, that won me.
Condensing Tasmania’s East Coast highlights into a week is no mean feat. We’ve managed to unite most on this perspective-changing journey taking in wilderness areas, World Heritage listed historic sites and cosmopolitan cities. Tours to Tasmania (from Launceston to Hobart) don’t get much better than this – strap in for a Wineglass Bay cruise, Port Arthur guided tour and epic Freycinet adventure.
The wild West Coast of Tasmania awaits. From Hobart to Launceston, World Heritage listed wilderness areas, off-the-map cruises, and so many opportunities to sample local produce are all on the agenda. Tours to Tasmania don’t get much better than this, uniting a Gordon River cruise with a Cradle Mountain tour and Hobart tour. The Apple Isle in a scenic snapshot.
