We recently concluded a two-week trip travelling throughout Sri Lanka using World Expeditions. With our input on sites to see, hikes to take, places of interest to visit, accommodations etc., the World Expeditions team provided an excellent and customized itinerary for our comprehensive private journey to Sri Lanka. The entire team was highly responsible and provided professional input up to the moment we departed for the trip. Upon arrival we were greeted by our guide and driver who provided dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence all throughout the trip, consistently going above and beyond his responsibilities as a travel guide ensuring we would experience the "real” Sri Lanka. He consistently anticipated our needs to ensure that our questions or concerns were addressed and resolved. Being very intuitive, in addition to the hikes, temples and ancient cities visited in our itinerary, he also further customized our trip to include additional activities he knew we would both enjoy as wildlife and photo enthusiasts. I enjoyed the trip mainly due to Ruth Hauri. She is par excellence for her caring, knowledgeable, hard working and loving nature. The only complaint is that the tour vehicle is not comfortable. Thank God v r 9 of us plus the driver totalled 10. Cannot imagine the company takes in 11 passengers for this tour. Just too cramped.

Daudi answered all of our questions patiently and quickly from the start. All of our accommodations were excellent, with amazing food and service. Special thanks to Jordan and Peter, our very knowledgeable and friendly guides who made this trip so memorable. Every day (no matter how early), they greeted us with great enthusiasm and eagerness to show us more wildlife up close, allowing us to take great pictures. During our drives, we had many discussions about wildlife and the environment, not to mention all of the laughter from their great sense of humor. I'm finally writing my review after being home for a month. What an interesting trip. Great people along the way, marvelous scenery in both the cities and the countryside. The accommodation ranged from 5 star to quirky and the hosts were always warm and welcoming. The homestays were a highlight with lovely people in stunning settings. All the guides (and drivers) were knowledgeable and ready to share their knowledge of the sites around us. The trip was a great highlight of central Asia and I would go back in a shot.
