This was my first all land trip with Collette. I usually take river cruises. I was more than pleased with this trip. We were met at the airport and put in a limousine to go to our hotel. Our hotels were safe and excellent in every way. Our motor coach was spacious and very comfortable. The food was excellent. Our guide was nice, experienced, knowledgeable, accommodating, and full of great fun. She managed to bring a great cohesiveness to a bunch of total strangers and change the group members into great friends in one, fun-filled week. We saw interesting sights. We had time for shopping. And most importantly, we had time to meet Irish people. We watched a national rugby game, drank a beer, and sang many Beatles’ songs I thoroughly enjoyed the tours, dinner shows., and our castle stay. I will definitely return to the Republic of Ireland and many other Collette destinations for future travel.

Each day the hiking was different. The logistics were well covered- hauling our luggage from hotel to hotel and showing up with rides to our hikes. The hotels were all very comfortable. I would recommend using this company for hiking trips.

It was a great tour if you wanted to do your own thing but didnt want the hassle of get to from each city finding good hotels. Hotels were a little out of the way. Ibis Zurich didnt seem prepared for handling the extra people needing to eat there. Meals were rushed some days but overall very happy.

The organization of the trips was good. The buses were also good . There was a bit of confusion at the beginning of my trip as my hotel was confirmed only the day before I travelled and the guide did not have my name in the list in Vienna when she came to pick up the passengers.

Overall a great trip The hotels were mostly good class hotels except for two which were below expectations. The amenities in these two hotels were spoiled, not working or not useable. Not that we mind old hotels but at least do ensure that doors or any other amenities are in working condition in the rooms Our guide Raid the coach driver made the 9 day tour a pleasant one. Together they ensured that we the travellers of different cultures and nations get from point to point smoothly and efficiently. The recommended optionals were great too. As for the visit to the Roman Forum, it would be more meaningful if it was guided. The coach we travelled in was very comfortable with good ventilation.
