The tour starts in Catania and continues with a visit to eastern Sicily, the baroque cities of Noto and Ragusa, the splendid Taormina and the Etna Volcano, before moving west, where we will visit Palermo, Monreale, Marsala and Selinunte. The last stops before returning to Catania will be two Unesco World Heritage Sites such as the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and Piazza Armerina. The main highlights of our excursion included visits to Volendam and Zaanse Schans, both accessible via coach bus. At Volendam we enjoyed the harbour, while Zaanse Schans offered picturesque windmills. Additionally, we enjoyed extra activities such as cheese tasting at a local farm and a visit to the clog museum to witness the art of wooden shoe making at the Zaanse Schans wooden shoe factory. The tour also included a delightful 1-hour Amsterdam Canal Cruise. Throughout the experience, the staff were notably friendly and welcoming, adding to our overall enjoyment.
