They will lead you on backstreets and cycle paths to some of the most iconic landmarks in London. On your bicycle, you will cover ground not possible on foot whilst discovering streets which would be impossible to see via bus. Your guide will not only talk you through London’s amazing past, but will also shed light on tips and tricks only a local would know!

The tour starts heading in the direction of the foundation of Vilamoura, Museum Cerro da Vila. Vilamoura has ancient Roman origins from the 1st century AD. Muslims were also present in this area and they left their mark as well. This can be seen in the Cerro da Vila Museum. After that, we will cross the Marina of Vilamoura, one of the best Yacht Clubs in Europe.
Then, we will bike on the path of the dunes to get to Quarteira. Here we can find one of the main attractions not to be missed while visiting Quarteira, the splendid fish and fruit market. Quarteira was founded in 1916 and is known for its fish, beaches and regional pastries. The art of fishing is well known and very much appreciated here and has become a tourist attraction. We will continue the tour by biking next to the beach, only 1 meter away from us as we cycle. Can you feel the sea breeze on your face?
The next stop is the Old Village. The architecture here is inspired by the Portuguese architecture of the 19th century, that's why it's called the Old Village. The pedestrian streets are paved with the typical Portuguese cobblestones and the gardens are very well kept.
Many people don't know that there is a beautiful environmental park in the heart of Vilamoura, but it really exists! You can explore the park on foot or by bike. In the park, you can see sheep, horses (as a horse stable, Centro Hípico, is located nearby), storks and other bird species.
We then head back to Bike a Wish via the bike lanes, however, we will not skip the Vilamoura Casino!

The journey begins in Marche, where we cycle from the coastal town of Sirolo to the ‘City of Paper', Fabriano, in the foothills of the Apennine Mountains. We ride through historic hinterlands, overnight at a wine estate, and climb to the canyon of Gola di Frasassi. Then we transition into Italy’s green heart, Umbria, passing a sea of vineyards, skirting the shores of Lake Trasimeno, and visiting the beautiful Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. The tour’s second half takes us along Tuscany's white roads, winding our way through the rustic countryside to reach the picture-perfect medieval towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino. After glamping under the stars in the Maremma hills of southern Tuscany we roll down to the Argentario promontory on the Tyrrhenian coast. Explore the beautiful, culturally-rich but lesser-known and uncrowded area of the Cilento National Park by bicycle on this self-guided 9-day cycling tour.
The region of Campania has been known as a paradise on earth since ancient times. The Greeks built some of their most impressive temples here and under the Romans it became known as ‘Campania Felix’, or the Happy Land. When travelling through this region it is easy to be overwhelmed by the wealth of cultural and natural attractions, from the great city of Naples to the well-known Costiera Amalfitana, with its towering cliffs and picturesque coves.
But Campania’s real secret is located south of Salerno. Here, the coastline bulges out into an expanse of mountainous landmass known as the Cilento, now one of Italy’s biggest National Parks, with World Heritage listing.
This tour brings you into the real ‘Heart of the Cilento’, from ancient Paestum up to Monte Stella, and along the pristine Cilento coast towards the impressive Alburni Mountains. Inland, the Cilento is largely undisturbed by the 21st century and you will encounter few other tourists along your way. You will cycle past world-famous cultural sites, through pristine natural areas and dreamy coastal scenery. Your trip will take you on small country roads passing through rough mountain scenery, as well as attractive countryside, with vineyards and olive groves.
The first few days you will stay close to the coast, only occasionally reaching some small hamlets on the foothills further inland. You will go past the archaeological site of Paestum on your way to a genuine mozzarella farm and climb up to some nice viewpoints on the coastal plain. Further on you will cycle around Monte Stella, dotted with several typical medieval hamlets, and continue along the coast towards the tiny fishing villages of Acciaroli and Pioppi to the Greek site of Velia.
You then turn inland and discover the rolling foothills around lovely Ceraso before climbing up along the Calore River to the hamlet of Piaggine, located in the very heart of the Cilento National Park. Here you’ll visit some of the nicest medieval villages in the area, where the traditional way of life is still evident. And you’ll enjoy visiting some of the Cilento’s greatest (but unknown) cultural treasures, like St. Michael’s cave church in Sant’Angelo a Fasanella, the ruins of Roscigno Vecchia and the castle of Laurino. All connected by great well-paved and quiet roads, ideal for cycling.
Your route back to Paestum takes you along great panoramic roads on the slopes of the Alburni Mountains.
