I feel that G Adventures exceeded my expectations. I figured the hotels and transport would be taken care of, but I was surprised at everyone's knowledge and eagerness was truly amazing and I would recommend this company and this Journey to other people. I felt I learned a lot, experienced a lot, and saw a lot in a fairly short amount of time.

The Budapest to IstanbulTour through less visited countries in Europe was great! Romania was a highlight with beautiful scenery and great character. The opportunity to travel through more remote/ countryside destinations throughout Hungary Romania Bulgaria was wonderful. It would be difficult to do this trip by yourself.

A really good, interesting holiday. Rather more moderate than leisurely but very enjoyable. The group had a good age range and we all got along very well. The weather was glorious for all but one day and the guest house was lovely. The food was very good and the staff were all very friendly.

Very organized. The time was well used to see major sites and to get a feel for the history and daily life. The tour was responsive to our request to include some outdoor, active activities in addition to sightseeing. The local guide was very good, knowledgeable and genial. Importantly, he was a good driver. The hotels were well selected, except for the one in Cluj which was a bit out of the center.

Included in the itinerary is the famous Horezu Monastery, the fortified churches of Transylvania, the old wooden churches of Maramures and an ancient fortress in the Orastie Mountains. If you can, take an extra day at each end of the trip. Everyone in my group loved both Prague and Budapest! Could’ve spent a week in each city on this trip, but we saw the highlights and had a variety of experiences that made it definitely worthwhile.
TD and driver were so much fun and made our trip even better.
