I did Lemosho route this June 2015 with ANAPA Travel. I warmly recommend this local agency: the trip was adjusted to my personal needs (regarding budget and paying, dates of the trip etc.) due to the very friendly and service oriented tour operator Tumaini. I also had a great guide (ask for Marwa) and team on the mountain. There was nothing I could complain about. I planned the tour via internet in advance - very reliable.

In April 2025 we set off on a trek with the aim of climbing Mera Peak. The journey took us a total of 16 days. The trek was very well organised, thanks to our great guide Chhiyang Banapish we always knew what to expect the next day, we always had enough water and food on the way, he always arranged good accommodation for us and togeher with the porter they took great care of our comfort and safety. I really appreciate that we went the whole way with one guide, who managed to get to know us during that time (I do not recommend going with a trekking guide and changing guides in Khare, they do not know you, they do not know how you have fared on the trek up to that point). Our guide was very reliable, thanks to him and his proper guidance and sufficient acclimatisation, we managed to reach the summit, although I was tired, but he was able to motivate me and really accompany me to the summit. I would like to thank him and our porter very much, as well as the agency. I would definitely use their services again next time.

In May, I took some days off work for vacation in Arusha, Tanzania with Habari adventures. Entry point was Kilimanjaro airport before a visit to Serengeti and Kilimanjaro summit. On our way to Serengeti/Kilimanjaro, the Habari guides felt like old friends. We shared a lot of stories, including local legends which I really enjoyed. I had a superb safari, with well organised tour guides. The journey was tiresome, but the team was always present and very supportive. My partner and I had the most amazing experience with this local travel specialist. We completed the three high passes + EBC trail, with my partner even going on to summit Island Peak (successfully!). Our guide Kanchha Tamang made sure we had the best experience - a well planned itinerary to ensure we acclimatised properly, looking out for any signs of AMS, looking after us when we both got sick with viruses on the trail. We had flexibility to change our itinerary a bit to maximise our chance of the best views as we were walking quicker than expected. Kanchha always made sure we had fun, made great memories, learned lots about the culture and history of the regions we were in, and supported us so well through what can be a pretty challenging few weeks on the trail. We miss him already! Special shout-out to our amazing porter Jiban, without whom the trek would not have been possible and for whom we are so grateful. And another special mention to Rajendra who managed our trip and who goes truly above and beyond for his clients. When we mentioned to Kanchha we were interested in exploring Pokhara after our trek had finished, he called Rajendra who then arranged everything for us (flights, accomodation, recommendations for activities, booked us in for paragliding). When we got stranded in Lukla for a few days due to grounded planes, it is due to the tireless efforts of Kanchha & Rajendra that we were able to get out of the mountains on a helicopter and continue our holiday.
