Tailored for fit young adults and experienced trekkers, this guided trip takes you to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar’s iconic viewpoint, and onward to the technical challenge of Island Peak (Imja Tse) at 6,189 meters. Along the way, traverse the stunning Sagarmatha National Park, visit Namche Bazaar, and marvel at panoramic vistas of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. This climb is physically demanding, requiring solid fitness and a taste for adventure, but beginners with strong outdoor experience can also succeed. The highlight? day 1 - Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400m) & transfer to hotel
We will be there at the airport to greet you and take you to your hotel near Thamel, the tourist hub of Kathmandu, on arrival. You have the rest of the day for yourself. Included today is a welcome dinner with a cultural show.
day 2 - Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,651m)
You will take an early morning flight to Lukla and start trekking to Phakding. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi river and passes through small villages and lush forests. Distance: 8km, Duration: 3-4 hours.
day 3 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today, you will trek to Namche Bazaar, a bustling town in the Khumbu region. You will cross several suspension bridges and climb steep trails to reach Namche Bazaar. Distance: 12km, Duration: 6-7 hours.
day 4 - Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today is a rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore the town, visit the Sherpa museum, or hike to the nearby Everest View Hotel for stunning views of Mount Everest and other Himalayan peaks.
day 5 - Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
You will trek to Tengboche, a beautiful village famous for its monastery. The trail offers great views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Distance: 10km, Duration: 5-6 hours.
day 6 - Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)
Today, you will trek to Dingboche, a small village at an altitude of 4,410 meters. The trail passes through beautiful rhododendron forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Distance: 11km, Duration: 5-6 hours.
day 7 - Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,410m)
Today is another rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore the village or hike to Nagarjun Hill for panoramic views of the Himalayas.
day 8 - Trek to Chhukung (4,750m)
From Dingboche it is a short trek to Chhukung, the last village in the Khumbu area near the Imja Tse Valley. From this vantage point you will have some awesome views of snowcapped mountains such as Mt. Makalu in the east. After arriving at Chhukung in the early afternoon you will have some free time to trek up to the summit of or hike to Chhukung Ri (5559m) for even more spectacular views of the mountains. Breakfast, lunch & dinner.included.
day 9 - Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (5200m)
Today, you will trek to the Island Peak Base Camp, located at an altitude of 5,200 meters. The trek takes around 4-5 hours and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.Today is another rest day to allow your body to acclimatize to the altitude. You can practice climbing techniques and prepare for the summit climb.
day 10 - Summit Island Peak (6189m/20,305ft) & trek To Dingboche
Today is the summit day, and you will start early in the morning to reach the summit of Island Peak. The climb takes around 10-12 hours and involves steep ascents over rocky terrain, which requires the use of ropes and crampons. Upon reaching the summit, you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. After the successful summit climb, you will trek back to Dingboche, a small village located at an altitude of 4400 meters.
day 11 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
You will trek back to Namche Bazaar, passing through Dingboche and Tengboche. The trail offers great views of the Himalayas and passes through beautiful villages. Duration: 7-8 hours.
day 12 - Trek to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft)
The rocky path down is steep and it is advised to be cautious crossing this rocky landscape. We eventually cross the suspension bridges over the rapid flowing Dudh Koshi and its tributaries, where the path becomes flatter and easier to negotiate. After our arrival in Lukla we can stretch our aching legs and blissfully recall the exhilarating experiences of the last few weeks. Meals - breakfast, lunch & dinner.
day 13 - Flight to Kathmandu (1,350m) & transfer to hotel.
You will trek to Lukla and take a flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring Kathmandu or shopping for souvenirs.
day 14 - Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport.
Your adventure comes to an end today – but your memories will last a lifetime! Our company representative will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your nearest next adventure and explore the most magnificent mountains of Nepal.
